Watching Messi today is like seeing the most gorgeous of sunsets. Perhaps the sun isn’t at it brightest, but as it hits the horizon it’s a glowing red that is breathlessly captivating. I know we’re close to the end, but he doesn’t play like it. He scores the same goals from a decade ago. The ones that made you ask how someone can do that? He’s able to produce that feeling of wonder…still. But every goal means we’re closer to the last. Look up, the sky around you has all different colors. Red, purple, orange, yellow, blue, white…it’s beautiful. The last goodbye. Be grateful you’re on this planet to witness it.

Back in 2014, there was a man who was already aware of the irregularities involving Manchester City. That man now runs FIFA. The infamous Gianni Infantino, then UEFA General Secretary, abused his authority, shared confidential documents and, in short, outmanoeuvred the Investigatory Chamber, doing everything in his power to ensure that both Manchester City and PSG would merely receive a fine, avoiding a deeper investigation that could have led to a Champions League ban. All of these details were also revealed through Football Leaks. Given his actions as UEFA General Secretary and, more recently, as FIFA President, I can only say, in my humble opinion, that Gianni Infantino has become a cancer on football and should have no place in the future of the game.

This game is understood by casuals through prediction, as is coaching, but the difference is deception. No model measures how deceptive a player is in their actions because it isn't there;-it's lies, it's fugazi, and players who give you that are special.

Some of you need some perspective. Yes it’s not good enough. But what I’m seeing yet again is so negative and reactionary, showing a lot of you don’t understand the process, or think it’s FIFA. The facts. it was Iraola’s first gameweek where it’s weekend, midweek, weekend, therefore the players are playing more matches in a much higher intensity system for the first time, hence some changes, and performance drop imo. Not only that, but he is still getting the players used to the system, which shock it will take longer than a few games, to get out of habit built last year. Iraola is yet to lose a competitive game as Liverpool manager. I’m not saying it’s good enough, it’s not, we should be winning and playing better, but I understand the reasons why we didn’t play our best today. Perspective. I’m seeing people say the seasons over already, fucking get a grip of yourselves. We still haven’t lost under Iraola ffs. I still hold hope and believe in these players, this manager and club to achieve something great this year, it’s possible, and I will believe it can happen until it’s impossible. ITS ABOUT PATIENCE. Was going to do another tweet venting my frustrations about the state of the squad but then I remembered The Athletic told us Richard Hughes hypothetically wanted to fix it so now I'm just in awe of what a sporting director he is

🚨💣 Jürgen Klopp addressing the German public during his introductory press conference as the new Bundestrainer: “I’m not doing this job for myself. I’m doing it for you. I’m taking this job even though I’ve seen how you’ve treated Julian Nagelsmann. I’m taking it even though I’ve seen how you’ve treated Thomas Tuchel. If you go after my family, I’m gone. If you think I’m rubbish, tell me to my face and I’ll leave immediately, without asking for any compensation.” @SkySportDE 🇩🇪
