Since Fox's Chad Pergram got this scoop debunking a FEMA lie from Trump and his network:
1) Miranda Devine pushed the lie on Fox News.
2) Maria Bartiromo asked why the memo's authors were "lying" on Fox Business.
3) Pergram hasn't been on the air. mediamatters.org/fox-news/fo…

Tallahassee is a wholly owned subsidiary of the insurance lobby
Tonight’s @60Minutes report on the systemic fraud committed by insurance companies in Florida is infuriating for several reasons. Beyond the fraud itself - which is spectacular- you have to ask why isn’t @GovRonDeSantis and @AGAshleyMoody doing something - anything - about it?

The insurer mentioned, Heritage, is a major donor to Florida politicians — they were a sponsor of DeSantis' reelection inauguration.
Its lobbyist is close to @JimmyPatronis, whose office investigated this alleged fraud.
Patronis was also against the state fining Heritage $1m.

Just a reminder that in addition to the races we are used to - two Florida Supreme Court Justices will be on the ballot. They both voted to allow the six week abortion ban to go into effect and voted to try and keep Amendment 4 off the ballot.
In November there will be two FL Supreme Court (@flcourts) justices on the ballot - Justice Renatha Francis and Justice Meredith Sasso.
They were both recently appointed to the court by Governor DeSantis, so voters will now decide if they should remain on the court. 1/x

As Mayor of Miami-Dade, I urge the State legislature to prioritize condo reform in 2025.
Our residents face increasing costs and we need bipartisan solutions to protect affordability without compromising on safety.
We look forward to working together on this important issue.

Senate President Kathleen Passidomo @RepPassidomo on Friday ruled out a special legislative session to address problems facing condominium associations and owners, including soaring costs — and we agree with her decision wholeheartedly.

Shlomo’s Georgia-based lawyer is the former president of the Buckhead Young Republicans, and suffered one of the most lopsided defeats we’ve ever seen when he ran for Congress in Georgia in 2022.
Wonder how he came to be hired by Shlomo - no election lawyers in SoFla?

New article/blog is out by Eric Glazer titled: “Sorry Condo Owners — It Is What It Is.”
We think @GovRonDeSantis, @vickiforflorida and all the legislators of the state did the right thing in bringing new condo safety laws.
After the dust settles, Florida will be able to say we have the safest most properly funded condominiums in the entire country.
Let us know what you think.

The Miami Beach mayor’s tweet this AM. We’ve responded with questions on his thread, since we haven’t been able to get answers when asking them in person. @wsvn
Miami Beach PD is very good at investigating and solving crime. Police Chief Wayne Jones informs me that over the last number of years unauthorized police dissemination of sensitive confidential information is becoming dangerous and must be stopped. Leaks of sensitive information compromises investigations, publicly exposes victims’ identity, alerts criminals of inside police information, and puts the public and officer safety at increased risk. It’s a crime and violates internal police department policy. As a law and order city we will enforce all our laws.
