As I work my last shift with @VancouverPD before retirement, I find I keep reflecting on one thing: the people I’ve worked with along the way. The partners I’ve had, the teams I’ve been on, the incidents we’ve been involved in.

Today, officers were called to a crowded area for a report of a man with a gun. Tactics and excellent team work = suspect in custody. The gun ended up being a pellet gun. But take a look at the photo - at first glance, it looks pretty real to me. #VPD #patrol

So far this morning, there have been two incidents in the DTES involving handguns that were later determined to be BB/pellet guns. At first glance, though, the guns appear real (see below), especially when tucked into a waistband or being waved around in the air. #VPD #patrol
