This appears to be a wonderful technology for fire prevention. Innovative solution. Now we need leaders that will restore prevention policies for fuel reduction.
Congrats to @PalmerLuckey and Anduril for winning the Wildfire XPRIZE - for detecting and suppressing a wildfire within 10 minutes of ignition!

Exacerbated by wildfire risk, steep hillsides, and coastal hazards, the people of Santa Barbara County are getting hit hard by dropped policies and increasing premiums. The best way to prepare to address California's insurance crisis is to listen to the people living it.
My bill SB 1301 is now law ✅ Insurers must tell you WHY they’re dropping you and how to keep your coverage. Consumers deserve answers. That’s what I’ll fight for as Insurance Commissioner.
About 70% of CA homes are underinsured. That’s why I co-authored SB 876, which is now officially law. Insurers will have to pay people faster and give them real options for more coverage, so families can actually get back on their feet. patrickwolff.substack.com/p/…
My bill, SB186, is officially law, signed on the set of The Pitt. 🎬 Keeping film and TV jobs in California, where they belong! #thepitt #warnerbros
Californians facing canceled insurance policies and skyrocketing premiums can't afford on-the-job training. I have the experience to take on this job from day one. Go read the SF Standard article: sfstandard.com/opinion/2026/…
So grateful to receive support from Central Valley & Central Coast supervisors, including Leticia Perez, Lucas Frerichs, and Luis Alejo. I've valued hearing directly from local leaders about the unique insurance availability and affordability challenges these regions face.

Make sure you catch Thai Fest next year, so much fun!

COUNTY LEADERS MEET IN ALTADENA WITH STATE LEADERS!🏛️ Today, county leaders with the California State Association of Counties (CSAC) @CSAC_Counties gathered in the 2025 fire-devastated community of Altadena to discuss some of the most pressing challenges facing our counties: disaster preparedness and recovery, the impacts of H.R. 1 on our healthcare systems and vulnerable residents, and homelessness.
Thank you to former U.S. Health and Human Services Secretary and candidate for California Governor Xavier Becerra @XavierBecerra, State Treasurer and candidate for Lieutenant Governor Fiona Ma @fionama, and State Senator and candidate for State Insurance Commissioner Ben Allen @BenAllenCA for joining us for an open and substantive dialogue.
California’s counties are on the frontlines of providing critical services to our communities every day. It is essential that we continue working closely with our state leaders to prepare for disasters, protect vulnerable residents, strengthen our healthcare safety net, and address homelessness throughout California.
Strong state-county partnerships are essential to getting the job done for the people we serve. 🤝🏽🇺🇸 #CaliforniaCounties #CSAC #CountiesLead✊🏽
Our mutual primary opponent Patrick Wolff took a closer look at Jane Kim’s signature insurance proposal. His conclusion? The details don’t match the pitch.
Watch Patrick break down what he found, then read his full piece in the San Francisco Standard.

Grateful for the support this campaign has received from LiUNA and so many other labor organizations across California. As Insurance Commissioner, I will continue fighting for working people, focusing on fixing the problems that are driving up rates and squeezing people.
