‘Is calling Kemi Badenoch a “Nigerian scammer” racist, yes or no?’
‘…I’m not on your show to talk about what a journalist has tweeted.’
Reform's Robert Jenrick refuses to engage with @Lewis_Goodall's question about Raheem Kassam's comments on the Tory leader.

Nigel Farage was given at least 10 opportunities to call out blatant racism against Kemi Badenoch today.
Why couldn't he?
This goes far beyond party politics. It's about basic decency.

Disappointing to hear Andy Haldane talking such nonsense. The 2016 Brexit referendum created a cloud of uncertainty because it led to trade barriers going up. Rejoining the EU would bring trade barriers down.

Greens back to exactly where they were when Zack Polanski took over. Turns out the party obsessing over Zionism isn’t all that popular.

New - Burnham’s bounce continues. Reform slip to third place and Greens to 5th….
The return of The Green Party to an insignificant, fringe party will be studied for years...
'Is that a really good use of his time?'
'Raising money for a cancer charity?'
The Green Party's @floschechter brands Andy Burnham going on Gogglebox as 'ridiculous'.

Interesting to hear the Prime Minister announce a review of the 'standing charges' on our energy bills.
This daily charge - which is made up of various, hard to understand costs incurred by the companies that run our energy system - is levied on consumers irrespective of how much energy they use.
For consumers, it can be the most frustrating thing to see the charge added to your bill every single day when you're doing everything you can to keep your usage as low as possible.
There have long been proposals to take standing charges off of our energy bills, and to instead cover the costs through the Treasury. This has the obvious benefit of helping lower income households, as those of us who earn more pay higher amounts of tax. It's a more progressive way of covering the costs.
But the amounts involved are not insignificant, with estimates suggesting a more than £5bn a year cost to the Treasury.
If this can be offset against savings from changing subsidies given to bill payers in other ways, it may just provide a longer term cut to energy bills for those who need it most.
Finally, any re-balancing of costs between electricity and gas could make it easier for more households to swap out their gas boilers for electric heat pumps if they wish to, helping reduce our overall demand for gas and therefore our exposure to global gas markets.
Energy bills continue to be one of the most important factors that voters consider when deciding if the economy is heading in the right direction. It's right the government looks to do more to help change the assumption that our bills will just keep going up and up.

There’s actually a green case for new North Sea production:
– Domestic gas is 18% less carbon-emitting than imports from the US and the Gulf states.
– Higher tax revenue can be used to support green energy, EVs and heat pumps. arguably.uk/p/is-net-zero-st…

A horrific Russian strike in the Kharkiv region. A “shahed” struck people directly – in a park near an ordinary café. Pure atrocity. Six people were killed, including children. A little girl was killed in a stroller – her name was Angelina, she was just over a year old, born in August 2025… Her mother’s name was Inna. She died in the hospital… Another girl who was killed was 11 years old. My condolences to their families and loved ones. Another 14 people were injured, including six more children.
I am grateful to everyone who supports Ukraine under these circumstances and helps us shoot down “shaheds,” shoot down missiles, and stop Russian assaults. These are horrific photos, but behind them are shattered lives and the truth about this war. Lives must be protected. Ukraine needs air defense. You can't think about making money with Russia as long as it continues its asinine war. We ask that sanctions on Russia stay in place as long as the killings continue. We ask America to be strong, and we ask it to apply the Lindsey Graham law. We ask Europe to continue its support. We ask that everything possible be done to bring peace and guarantee security. Ukraine wants peace. It is Russia that has insisted on continuing the killing all this time. The world has enough strength to stop the war. That strength must finally be used – against the murderers.
