Play as much as you can as long as you can! This D1 athlete is playing baseball and football on the SAME DAY!
If you can help more than one program win games…. DO IT!!!

John Rhys Plumlee’s day today was INSANE.
He played in UCF’s 5pm home baseball game vs Memphis. Goes 2-3 with a triple and 2 RBIs. UCF wins 12-3.
He then leaves the game in 7th inning, sprints out of the stadium & is escorted in golf cart to the football stadium to play in the @UCF_Football Spring Game at 7:30. Throws 2+ TDs. WILD.
@PlumleeJohn is one of the best stories in college sports.

One of the best pieces of advice I ever received in my coaching career was to make yourself irreplaceable.
Find a role and work so hard at it that it would be impossible to replace you with someone who offered the same level of initiative, energy, and efficacy.

My favorite story about D’Ernest.
He DM’d every AAF team in 2018 asking for a tryout. Made the Orlando team. Then popped off.
Kid has worked his ass off. He’s earned this.
(Of course I saved the screenshot.)
Wow
Will your principal jump out of a plane in the name of education? Ours will as @AlvinHSJackets principal Karen Taylor takes the leap. We will have more on the Yellowjackets who also made the jump later this week. #myalvinisd #jpnd

Found another cool moment combing through my footage from last night:
After getting burned on a TD, Darius Rush was visibly down.
Jaylan Foster came over immediately to fix his body language and encourage him.
Never saw any of this in the last 2 seasons I've covered this team
