Totally agree with this, there are many other aspects such as guilt that could be added too

Totally agree that small gestures can make all the difference
☕ A chat over a coffee ❓ A "how are you doing today?" 💛 A hug and a reminder you're there for them. You don't need to be an expert to support a friend with a mental health problem. Even the smallest gestures can make a big difference.
Utterly tragic - I can't even begin to imagine how devastating in must be to lose a child, never mind have four die before you do.

Very true
Take the smallest of steps if necessary....they will eventually move you forward. #Hopeiseverything thegoodgrieftrust.org
Very poignant video
A simple question asked by my young son along with my own personal experience of #grief have been what has made me so aware of helping children and the importance of knowing what to do when they encounter #loss. #GriefRecovery #Stafford #Staffordshire

It never ceases to amaze me when I hear the things people say to the bereaved. Sometimes less is more if you really can't show understanding.
"Oh, your husband died suddenly? Well at least you didn't have children!" - said to me a few times when I was newly widowed. What I learned: everyone grieving a lost loved one is sad. Devastated. Vulnerable. There's no need to make comparisons; or to utter "well at least you..."

This is so true of what people think of the bereaved, It must be cultural, something we want to believe
After my husband and daughter died I noticed people made 3 assumptions: 1. I was strong 2. Grief was a journey 3. The journey would end. Wrong on all counts. Just goes to show - you should never assume. #widow #Grief #childloss #neverassume

Totally agree with this sentiment
Sometimes we assume what an experience is like for someone... but we don't really know until we ask 💙💚 #ask #empathy #compassion
