Transit riders btwn South Beach & Miami stand in packed buses for upwards of an hour to cross Biscayne Bay. That's if their lucky enough to even get on.
A few wealthy elite are trying to stop the train. Learn more in today's Miami Herald via @doug_hanks.

$30 burger combo in the Miami-Dade County owned Miami Heat arena.
Some @MiamiDadeCounty buses took about an hour to pass the arena last night, after the game ended.

Internet, what do you think of this?
Drones, License Plate Readers, and GPS dart technology are some of the many initiatives I have brought to make our city safer. (bit.ly/DroneDartLPR)
This weekend, they all worked together. Our LPR cameras flagged a stolen vehicle entering Miami Beach. Our drone tracked it, an officer tagged it with a GPS dart, and all five suspects were arrested after fleeing.
Technology is a force multiplier. I’ll keep bringing initiatives to make @MiamiBeachNews the safest city in America.

As I said before, I welcome autonomous vehicles, but if they're privately owned, single-occupant vehicles rather than shared ones, they won't "solve" traffic in any way, shape, or form.
Miami Beach spends more, per resident.
FY27: $146mm
Population: ~81,000
SF spends double any other major city on its fire department, which is just a bunch of emergency response in a giant expensive truck-sized trench coat.
We should reform firefighter hiring and pay, reduce the number of fighter fighters, give them smaller vehicles, close down 8 fire stations (of 48!) which see fewer than 3 calls per day, and most importantly, stop blindly Respecting whatever they say about single-stair reforms, lane widths, outdoor dining, etc.
My friend reacted to hearing my anti-fire-department screed by asserting that SF firefighters are hot -- I would also support assigning 5% of our firefighters to do PR work at Beaux. They're good with poles.
1 out of 100 walk score.
I just found a veryyyy interesting price cut in Miami Beach 👀
$1.6M off this waterfront home at the tip of guard-gated Hibiscus Island.
Now $17.9M. Open bay. Large dock. Rooftop. Insane Miami skyline views.
And I actually think the new price is… really good?
At this level in Miami Beach, the combination of location + views + waterfront is VERY hard to replicate. Someone is going to get a phenomenal property.
DM me to make it yours before your arch nemesis gets it first.

You have got to be f**king kidding me… an 18 hole golf course that fully absorbs the entirety of Hains Point. Disgusting and shameful acts by Department of Interior.
We have been saying this for MONTHS.
Nine ships in Port Miami today, with a capacity of over 30,000 passengers. That's over 60,000 going to/from the port in less than 8 hours.
Co-sign on the illegal e-bikes/e-scooters, that are really e-motorcycles... But, responsibility also falls with the retailers selling them. And the companies marketing them.
Replying to @kevinamezaga
Realistically, I'm not taking a helmet, picking up a CaBi bike, then bringing my helmet to dinner. Most people won't.
DC needs more bike lanes, traffic law enforcement, and confiscation of e-bikes/scooters that can exceed normal speed limits.
Massive getting to Port Miami right now. "Only" 4 ships in port, approx 18,000 max passengers.
Streets downtown jammed up as well as 395 heading towards the beach.
It's insane all the parking for each building in Edgewater. There's for practical purposes, one street, Biscayne Blvd, which is FAILING every afternoon, and frequently outside those hours too. Each building have nearly 500 parking spaces simply is induced demand.
