Really excited about this launch! Building a client API for your databases running on Amazon Aurora is now simpler than ever using AppSync.
🚀 Exciting AWS AppSync updates!
🆕 Create GraphQL APIs based on tables in existing Aurora MySQL and PostgreSQL databases
🆕 Utilities make it easy to write SQL in JavaScript resolvers. No need for additional compute with the RDS Data API!

If you’ve been wanting to experiment with #generativeAI, check out PartyRock powered by Amazon Bedrock. partyrock.aws/
With PartyRock, anyone can learn about prompt engineering/writing and build apps in just a few clicks. I built one to find the best bike trails in the Seattle area based on time of year, and best time to go to avoid crowds. You can build an app to create the perfect playlist based on your musical tastes, or one to recommend what to cook based on ingredients in your pantry. The list goes on.
PartyRock is an easy and fun way to learn the fundamentals of foundation models and then collaborate with other developers. Anyone can access PartyRock through the website, and you don’t need an @awscloud account. Share your PartyRock apps in the comments below!

AWS AppSync now supports JavaScript for all resolvers. Use unit resolvers for single data source access, and continue to use pipelines resolvers to chain functions. It’s also easier then ever to get started in the console or with the AWS CDK.

I realize that AWS AppSync may not be the first way to get started with GraphQL for some, so I made a video highlighting JS functions in AppSync to give an overview of why it's such a game changer for both the service, but GraphQL in general.

Chat apps are the 'hello world' of real-time data. Opening up a socket connection and 2 browser tabs is still feels magical to me 😅 Coupling this with GraphQL is honestly one of my favorite parts of modern development.
But most chat apps won't scale. AWS AppSync changes that 🧵

We’re evaluating creating Merged APIs in AWS AppSync which would allow multiple teams to operate independently, contributing to a unified primary GraphQL endpoint. Take a look at the RFC and help us shape the new feature, we'd love to hear your feedback.
