While vote counting continues in the states, one thing we do know is that there will be a lot of fresh faces in office next year! At the top of the ticket, we'll see 21 new governors, and further down, nearly 1,600 new state lawmakers. multistate.us/elections/clas…
It was already going to be a big year of fresh faces in governor mansions in 2027 with 19 open seats, but after incumbent defeats in NV and TX, we'll see 21 new governors! Most since 2011. It's still tough to beat incumbents though. multistate.us/elections/gene…

🚨RACE OVER🚨
We can now project that Democrats have won the Alaska gubernatorial race.

By our count, Democrats have netted +341 state legislative seats nationwide so far. With 836 seats still uncalled, Dems lead in 269 seats they don't currently hold. If every lead held, that's roughly +600. multistate.us/elections/gene…
For reference, Democrats were +307 state leg seats in 2018 and Republicans gained +679 in 2010 midterms. multistate.us/elections/gene…
Democrats will hold at least 28 governorships next year, and if they prevail, which is most likely, in KS and AK, they'll reach 30 — a mark they haven't held for 33 years! multistate.us/elections/gene…

This is correct, we are looking at an inverse 2010 on the state legislative level. I would guess Republicans lose 600, 700 state legislative seats or more.

Democrats should really consider getting on board with self-driving cars, I don't think the alliance with the Teamsters is paying large dividends.
Teamsters General President Sean O’Brien here. Just voted in the State of Florida for the first time, and very proud to have cast a ballot for @SenAshleyMoody. Sen. Moody has been extremely helpful working with the Teamsters to protect workers’ pensions, defend good-paying jobs, and support well-funded union apprenticeship programs. The Teamsters look forward to working with Sen. Moody in her role on the Senate HELP Committee to pass the Faster Labor Contracts Act and get this critical legislation signed into law to protect American workers.
