About 130 million years ago the first flowering plants emerged, eventually bearing a dazzling array of fruits that would grow alongside the dinosaurs. But researchers have long questioned whether dinosaurs ever made these earliest fruits a main course.
Now, a toothless, turkey-size oddity with a parrotlike beak may be the first known dinosaur frugivore.
Researchers report a newly discovered dinosaur that lived alongside Tyrannosaurus rex and Triceratops named Infernogallus jamesi—meaning “hell chicken”—that was fully adapted to a fruit-based diet.
The anatomy bears a striking resemblance to modern parrots, the authors say. Learn more: scim.ag/3W7YW2R

Hey @Meta 👋We are currently hosting a get-out-the-vote rally in Osceola County, home to a large Puerto Rican community, and our #LatinosConAngie @instagram page was suddenly taken down while we were actively posting content from the event.
This page is a critical communication tool for reaching Latino voters and mobilizing our community. With just seven days until Election Day, every minute matters.
We are calling on Meta to immediately restore the page and provide an explanation for its removal. Voters deserve access to critical election information, especially in these final days. @andymstone

It’s disappointing to have to say this, but @CBSNews, this is a serious failure of editorial reporting. I clearly state in this clip that while I have not personally been to Cuba, I have spoken with Cubans who have described it as a dictatorship, and I believe them. To claim I declined to answer the question is categorically false. That is not journalism. It is misinformation.

CO RESIDENTS: This Election Day, Coloradans will cast their vote on Amendment 83, a dangerous ballot measure that would enshrine the right to hunt, fish, and harvest using “traditional methods” in Colorado’s constitution.

Colorado went from unlimited daily killing of furbearers to a limit of TWO PER SPECIES per day. Hunting and trapping remain legal.
Safari Club International and Sportsmen’s Alliance Foundation sued over the rulemaking process. Their campaign also singles out Commissioner Rebecca Niemiec, attacks her research as “junk science,” and portrays animal advocates as extremists.
To me, that’s bullying: making pro-animal commissioners targets for supporting even modest limits on killing.
Population sustainability is one consideration. Animal welfare and the public’s interest in living wildlife deserve a voice, too.
I support Niemiec. Commissioners should be able to advocate for animals without being vilified.

Desirable animals are being cloned for breeding stock. Consumers are not necessarily eating the flesh of cloned animals, but they are eating the flesh of the offspring of cloned animals.

Like most insects, the wings of tobacco hawk moths are covered in tiny hairs. These microscopic strands help insects taste and stay stable in flight.
But the tobacco hawk moth’s wing hairs do something researchers haven’t documented in any other insect: they help the animal smell.
