I was today years old when I found out that:
Ancient Greek word “psyche” meant both soul and butterfly.
“Symbol” comes from “symbolon”—a token, sometimes half of a broken coin matched to prove a connection.
And "Ethos" ment your habitual dwelling place.
As there was no Western philosophy before Greeks, they neede to invent the whole philosophical vocabulary from scratch. So they used concepts from their daily life.
