Merlin on the beach yesterday near Dungeness Lifeboat Station. It had just tried to catch a black redstart which fortunately was able to escape.

Yesterday at Dungeness RSPB while watching a Slavonian and Black-necked Grebes, a Red-throated Diver popped up right in front of the Makepeace view point. Excellent views couldn’t have been any closer.
