St Luke Parish members joined me as I celebrated the Annual Mass for the Italian Apostolate on the Feast of Saint Francis, October 4, 2026, at Saint Thomas More Church on the Campus of Saint John’s University.

On Sunday,I blessed a permanent display of Artifacts from Sacred Heart Convent in Bayside that honors the ministry of the Sisters of Mercy of Dallas, PA, associated with Sacred Heart since 1925. Sister Kathleen Masterson, RSM, pictured here, still serves as Pastoral Associate.

I joined Father Paul Anel, pastor of Saint Paul-Saint Agnes parish in Brooklyn to celebrate Mass for the 190th Anniversary of Saint Paul Parish earlier this month! Congratulations!

Along with Fr. Patrick Longalong, Pastor, and clergy of Saint Nicholas of Tolentine parish in Jamaica, I celebrated Mass Saturday for the parish Feast Day. The Mass was followed by a buffet dinner in the parish hall! A great evening to be together and celebrate!

I attended the Farewell Mass for Fr. Joe Pham who is moving to CA. He faithfully served the parish of OL of Mt. Carmel, Astoria, for 44 years. The picture above shows us, wth Fr. Pham to my right, and the concelebrants and altar servers of the Mass.

I celebrated Mass in honor of St. Francis di Paola. Mass was offered at Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal Church in Ridgewood on Sunday afternoon for the members of Concordia Partana Club. Here are Fr. Michael Falce and members of the Club.

Fr. John Costello and I joined the Msgr. Dillon Knights of Columbus Council as they celebrated their 60th Anniversary. The Council has been a great help to Saint Luke Parish in Whitestone. God bless them for the work they do.

I joined Fr. Edward Kachurka, pastor of Saint Gregory Church in Bellerose, and the Bellerose Fire Dept. Friday, June 19th, for the Opening Night of the Annual Saint Gregory Outdoor Festival. It runs through June 27th.

I offered a Mass of Thanksgiving at Saint Kevin Church in Flushing on June 17 marking the 25th Anniversary of the arrival in the US of the Sisters of Saint Joseph of Saint Marc. The sisters are currently stationed in Saint Kevin and Saint Mel parishes.

This past Sunday at Saint Luke's Whitestone, we bid Farewell to Fr. Chin Nguyen, who served the parish 5 years. The church and hall were filled with grateful parishioners. We wish Father all God’s blessings in his new assignments at St. Gregory Bellerose & Queensboro College!
