This afternoon I testified at the Texas Senate Committee on Business and Commerce hearing in favor of SB 21, to establish a Texas Strategic Bitcoin Reserve.
Thank you @DrSchwertner for introducing the bill, @LtGovTX for making it a legislative priority, and @DonnaCampbellTX for asking great questions about Bitcoin custody and security.
Can we get an update?
Strategy's balance sheet today:
-848,517 $BTC worth $68.5B
-$6.7B of convertible debt
-$5.3B of cash
-$13.5B of preferreds
Net debt = $1.4B, roughly 2% of its Bitcoin.
Even including the preferreds, its Bitcoin covers everything 4.6x over.
The $MSTR FUD was out of control.
Every investor should learn how to read a balance sheet.

He’s wrong for the USA, and especially for Texas.
If we get a D POTUS in ‘29, it will fall to the US Senate to block: stacking the court, cheating again on 2030 census, expropriating, and breaking our republic for a generation.
Make sure you vote, and tell friends - it matters!

“God is non-binary.”
“…many more than two biological sexes. In fact, there are six.”
“If you deny your child’s gender identity… it’s abusive for sure.”
“There’s only one person who can determine a child’s gender identity, and that’s the child.”
“I want to acknowledge that our trans community needs abortion care too.”
“…the bill that would have denied gender-affirming health care to trans children… All these ideologies stem from this Christofascism movement.”
“The way I fought for trans kids in the legislature is how I will fight for the U.S. Senate, and my position hasn’t changed.”
“Prophetic voices like Jesus have helped me reckon with my own whiteness.”
“It’s always rich to me that defund the police is considered off limits…”
“Prison is violence.”
“Tear down this secret police force.”
Assault weapons ban? “Absolutely.”
Send this to 10 Texas voters and tell them to vote today.

This is truly impeccable execution.
Less than a year ago, $ASST had an enterprise value of around $500 million.
Today it is approaching $5 billion.
How did they do it?
They acquired Semler Scientific and paid off its debt.
They grew SATA into a $1.4 billion perpetual preferred.
They raised $630 million through the SATS IPO.
They also more than 6x'd their Bitcoin holdings from 5,958 to 36,818 BTC, with the SATS proceeds set to push that even higher.
Imagine what they can do in a Bitcoin bull market.

Franchement il y a de quoi rire.

A multi-billionaire and the chairman of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce just laid out why he's so bullish on Texas (and DFW)
Here's the list from Ross Perot Jr
> Gas. About $3 here. Europe pays about 10 times that. He calls Texas the best spot in the world to build data centers
> Power for everything at once. Data centers, defense tech, chip plants and shipbuilding are all growing here at the same time
>The grid. He thinks the post 2021 freeze fixes plus all this new investment make it one of the most resilient in the world
> Data centers pay the bills. Facebook's data center is now Fort Worth's largest taxpayer ($25m each year)
> Space is running out. He says there's only a single one million-square-foot building vacant in DFW right now
> Factories, not warehouses. Alliance added almost 10,000 manufacturing jobs in the last 12 months
> Permits. MP Materials got its air permit in three weeks. He says California took two years
> Leaders who show up. Scotiabank met the governor, lieutenant governor and speaker in one day. Dinner with George W. Bush that night. They stopped considering a move to Charlotte after that power packed day of meetings
> Public money that pays back. About $1.5B in public money went into Alliance. He says it has returned about $5.3B in taxes
> The balance sheet. Surpluses, a rainy-day fund and a better credit rating than the U.S. "Your state is not going to implode"
> Other states keep sending companies. Schwab from California. Caterpillar from Illinois. Goldman and Morgan Stanley from New York
> Y'all Street. Goldman is building for 5,000+ people in Dallas. Morgan Stanley for about 3,800
> People. DFW is about 8.5 million and still growing
> Location. DFW sits near the middle of North America. Alliance has a runway and a rail yard side by side
> Everything at once. White-collar growth in Dallas, blue-collar growth in Fort Worth
> Elon. "A one man economic development show"
> Neighbors. City staff here actually call you back
> The brand. Taylor Sheridan runs a 700,000 SF studio at Alliance. The president of Pakistan told him he watches Landman
> Defense and new transportation. Fort Worth's defense history makes it a natural home for defense tech, flying taxis and drones
The only thing he says could stop it is complacency.
Today I sit down with Ross Perot Jr., Chairman of Hillwood and The Perot Group. Ross founded Hillwood in 1988 and built Alliance Texas, his masterpiece, a 1 of 1 27,000-acre development.
We discuss:
• Why Trammell Crow told him to just build warehouses
• How Hillwood developed Alliance Texas
• How a rare earth company got its air permit in three weeks
• How President Bush helped close Scotiabank's move to Texas
• What the 1992 campaign looked like from inside the family
• The Iran War and why cheap oil prices are on the way
• Why every community should want a data center
• How to keep China from taking Taiwan
• Why he expects markets to boom after the midterms

Counterpoint: it sure as hell can.
