Maximal Extractable Value (MEV) refers to the value that can be extracted by including, excluding, or changing the order of transactions within a block.
Some MEV activities support market efficiency, while others can negatively affect users.
๐น What Is Front-Running?
Front-running happens when someone uses information about a pending transaction to place their own transaction ahead of it, potentially profiting at the original user's expense.
This can result in worse trade execution or additional costs.
๐น Why Does Privacy Matter?
When sensitive transaction details are exposed before execution, other participants may use that information to gain an advantage.
Keeping selected details encrypted can help reduce opportunities for front-running and other transaction-ordering attacks.
How Does Fluton Fit In?
@FlutonIO is developing a privacy-focused execution mechanism that uses Encrypted Intents and Fully Homomorphic Encryption (FHE) to keep selected transaction details encrypted until execution.

Understanding a blockchain token requires looking beyond its name and exploring the mechanisms behind its ecosystem.
@RetiumChain connects RTM, its native network token, with RTD, its stablecoin, through the Safehouse mechanism. According to Retiumโs documentation, RTM and RTD can be exchanged at a 1:1 ratio through Safehouse when sufficient reserves are available.
This mechanism is an important part of understanding how the two tokens interact within the Retium ecosystem. As always reserve availability and the actual conditions of the mechanism matter. Understanding the design is just as important as knowing the token names.

Developers building digital payment products need more than access to stablecoins. They need reliable infrastructure for settlement, liquidity, integration, and transaction privacy.
