And that's exactly why I'm looking at it again.
This thing is down almost 99.7% from ATH.
But the network isn't dead.
1.95 EiB storage capacity.
482 large data clients.
5,000+ smart contracts deployed.
And now Filecoin is shifting from:
“Decentralized storage”
to:
AI Data × DePIN × Programmable Cloud Infrastructure
Filecoin Onchain Cloud is already live.
AI agents can store data, retrieve it, pay for it and verify everything onchain.
That's fucking interesting.
This isn't a new shiny AI token with a whitepaper.
It's an old infrastructure giant sitting 99% below ATH while rebuilding its narrative around one of the biggest trends in tech.
Still risky.
Still needs real paid demand.
And I definitely wouldn't buy it just because it's down 99%.
But if AI Data + DePIN + Old Alt liquidity rotate together...
I think filecoin:native gets another serious run.

42 megawatts is the initial capacity of AETHER, a European consortium in talks to secure French sites for AI gigafactories, targeting 400 megawatts for sovereign AI compute.
