He's the Lebron James of fighter pilots in his time.
Put him in the monsterverse and he would've taken out the Muto's and lived to fight Rodan.

Rewatched Godzilla Minus Zero, this time with my parents, suffice to say I think it got better on a second watch.
Getting everything you've known to simmer in and more in depth.
I think I can see what they are trying to say, but I am still holding off being final about it.

I love how Ghidorah's evolution is due to the three fighter jets
Him creating two more heads to better chase down pray like that again, evolving to have larger spikes in his back as if they were the lodged thunder spears, and becoming a lot rougher to represent lightning

Remember when he was supposed to be largely territorial which included on land Japan? Or how he would react violently to aggression and firearms? Good times.
I think back to this line that was only in the trailer for Minus One and how I wish they made Godzilla a character again.

Do you know how wild and carefree life as one of these critters must have been?
Some trilobite: *sigh* guess I get to scuttle over the benthos. Maybe do some light burrowing.
Aegirocassis: WEEEE

I just got back from the cinema. I was truly fascinated by Yamazaki’s personal take on King Ghidorah; I only wish his "John Carpenter's The Thing"-like biology had been explored further. And then it hit me: Takashi essentially turned him into Orga. 😭

Hi, lesbian here.
Think of how gay people have the labels of twink and bear, lesbians have femme and butch.
Butches present intentionally boyish/masculine and can go by he/him sometimes, but they're lesbians. They don't have a goal to really become a man

All I asked was a question if there’s any district differences between the two and then I get thrown under a bus
???

Cool to know that Minus Zero Ghidorah takes from Hedorah of all kaijus with its assimilation abilites which leads into its next point,
Giving some very horrifying implications for its sound design. Know it ate a few folks, but WYDM its got some human voices mixed in its roars.

I never felt so much adrenaline in my bloodstream watching a movie as I just did when watching Godzilla Minus Zero in a cinema

after his fantasy he looks into a mirror and you see a look of utter horror as he realizes what he is actually imagining Noda simply made him confront something he already knew. That he could never subject other people to the horrors he's witnessed
Does anyone else not believe Murakami’s story? #GodzillaMinusZero
*warning heavy spoilers* do not read if you haven’t seen it yet. Go see it first.
Murakami says it was Noda who changed his mind, but what if that was a lie he just made up to get Shikishima to put down his weapon.
Makoto gave the order to not harm Godzilla meaning Noda knew that order too. So what if when Murakami says “more minds to change” he is referencing how he changed Noda’s mind, and he believes that he just needs to change Noriko and Shikishima’s minds now that he is caught to fulfill the plan.
What if the whole point was to be captured and brought back to America to fulfill his plan.
That’s also why he told Shikishima and Noriko to run. The point is to be caught by the Americans and brought back to America.
In his fantasy Godzilla goes to America for revenge, but if his device works he needs both the device and Noriko to be in America so by getting “caught” he can build the device in America and they can capture Noriko and the Americans can think they are going to be able to control Godzilla, but really it’s all part of Murakami’s plan to fulfill his revenge to bring Godzilla to New York to destroy it.

koichi and noriko have such a fascinating dynamic because they very clearly are deeply devoted to one another yet their romantic chemistry is still sorta up for debate despite them being explicitly married in minus zero. it’s like their trauma bond overrides any romantic feelings
Blade Runner 2049 Fan retweeted
and then in the second movie he’s just like a guy who’s along for the ride for noda and noriko’s story
