Canada has the resources the world needs, but the Liberal Government keeps standing in the way of getting them to market.
A new proposal could see up to 250,000 barrels of Canadian oil shipped overseas every day through the Port of Prince Rupert - creating jobs, supporting Canadian businesses, and reducing our dependence on the United States.
But the Liberals' tanker ban is blocking that opportunity.
Instead of forcing Canadian oil to be sold at discounted prices to American refineries, the Carney Government should stop blocking producers from opening new markets and getting better prices for our Canadian resources.
Conservatives are calling on the Carney Liberals to support Conservative Bill C-264 to repeal this costly ban and get Canadian energy moving.
It's time to stop blocking projects, start creating jobs, and make Canada an energy superpower.
Joined veterans, Meadowbrook School students and others paying their respects at the LAV Monument in Airdrie in placing crosses for each of the 158 Canadians who laid down their lives serving our country in Afghanistan.
Such a powerful and important reminder of their sacrifice and of the service of the heroes who live amongst us today.
We will remember them.

The annual Poppy Campaign is an important reminder of the sacrifices made by the brave men and women who have served our country, and of our responsibility to honour their service.
Thank you to the dedicated members and volunteers of Airdrie Legion Branch 288 for their continued commitment to supporting veterans and their families, and keeping the spirit of remembrance alive in our community.
As Remembrance Day approaches, I encourage everyone to wear a poppy with pride, honour those who served, and remember those who never returned home.
Lest we forget.
Small businesses are the backbone of our local economy and the heart of our communities.
From the family-run shops and restaurants to the skilled trades and local entrepreneurs across Airdrie–Cochrane, small business owners work hard every day to create jobs, support families, and strengthen our communities.
I know the long hours, sacrifices, and challenges that come with running a business, especially as rising costs, taxes, and red tape continue to put pressure on small businesses. After more than a decade of Liberal government, Conservatives believe it's time to ease those burdens.
This Small Business Week, I want to thank all the hardworking business owners across our riding for everything you do.
I'll continue standing up for lower taxes, less red tape, and a Canada where hard work pays off.
Remember to support local whenever you can!
We warned the Liberals. They didn't listen.
Back in April, Conservatives raised concerns that the Liberal government's decision to end the Commissionaires' longstanding Right of First Refusal policy without a plan in place to ensure veterans continued to get preference in hiring would put Canadian veterans' jobs at risk.
Now, a nearly $12 million federal security contract has gone to an American company instead of the Canadian Corps of Commissionaires — a not-for-profit organization that employs thousands of veterans.
The difference in the bids? Less than 1%.
The cost? Canadian veterans losing their jobs.
Our veterans served this country. They deserve better than being passed over for federal contracts while the Liberals send business south of the border.
Conservatives will always stand up for our veterans and fight to ensure they have meaningful employment opportunities.
A man convicted in connection with the 2023 death of a journalist is now reportedly wanted in a break-and-enter investigation.
After more than a decade of Liberal governments, Canadians are demanding answers about repeat offenders and public safety.
The Liberals must answer for their record on bail, sentencing, and protecting our communities.
Canadians deserve a justice system that puts victims and public safety first, not repeat offenders.
274 criminal convictions. And back on the streets.
After 11 years of Liberal catch-and-release policies, repeat offenders continue to cycle through our justice system while Canadians are left paying the price.
Conservatives have proposed tougher bail laws to keep repeat violent offenders behind bars, including our Jail Not Bail Act.
Canadians deserve safe streets, safe neighbourhoods, and a justice system that puts public safety first.
How many convictions will it take before the Liberals act?
Canada's military needs equipment, not Liberal accounting games.
After more than a decade of Liberals, our Canadian Armed Forces are facing another round of operational spending cuts.
Despite promises to strengthen our military, reports indicate the Liberals are planning 10% cuts to operating expenses.
Meanwhile:
- Over 40% of key naval fleets were not serviceable in 2024–25.
- Nearly 50% of key army vehicles were not serviceable.
- More than 57% of aircraft were not serviceable.
- Troops have reportedly been asked to return basic equipment amid shortages.
Our soldiers, sailors and aviators deserve the resources they need to do their jobs and keep Canadians safe.
Conservatives are calling on the Liberals to reverse these proposed cuts and deliver real investments in military readiness, not just accounting changes to meet NATO targets.
For too many young Canadians, owning a home is no longer a realistic goal. It's becoming a dream they don't believe they'll ever achieve.
After 11 years of Liberal housing policies, the cost of homeownership has been pushed further and further out of reach.
Young Canadians are working hard, saving what they can, and doing everything right, yet still can't afford a place to call their own.
Conservatives have a plan to make homeownership affordable again:
- Axe the GST on new homes up to $1.3 million, saving homebuyers up to $65,000.
- Cut development charges that drive up the cost of new homes.
- Speed up permits and free up land so more homes can be built, faster.
The dream of homeownership shouldn't be out of reach for an entire generation. It's time to make that dream achievable again.
Nearly half of Canadians are just $200 away from insolvency.
Half of working Canadians are spending every dollar they earn — or more.
After more than a decade of Liberal economic failure, Canadians don’t need another press release. They need relief.
Conservatives are calling for an emergency Economic Action Plan to:
• Scrap gas taxes until Canada Day
• Green-light 500 projects awaiting federal permits
• Take the GST off Canadian-made autos
• End the industrial carbon tax
• Zero capital gains tax on reinvestment in Canada
• Repeal C-48 and C-69
Lower costs. Stronger paycheques. More jobs.
It’s time to get Canada’s economy working for Canadians again.
It was an honour to attend True Patriot Love’s Celebration of Service and join Canadians in celebrating those who have worn the uniform and serve our country.
Our military members, Veterans and their families have given so much to Canada. They deserve our gratitude, our respect and our continued support.
It was also special to see Canadian businesses Canadian businesses @scotiabank and CAE recognized for their commitment to employing Veterans.
My role may have changed but my commitment to Canada’s Veterans never will.
I will be voting in favour of my Conservative colleague’s Bill C-218.
Canadians struggling with mental illness deserve treatment, support and hope.
This bill would permanently prevent MAID from being expanded to cases where mental illness is the sole underlying medical condition.
I hope MPs from all parties will join Conservatives in protecting vulnerable Canadians and pass Bill C-218.
“Buy Canadian” can’t just be another Liberal slogan.
Canadian steelworkers are facing layoffs while LNG Canada’s $33-billion Phase II expansion plans to use Chinese steel — despite Canadian fabricators saying they can do the work.
Mark Carney promised to use more Canadian steel. When it mattered, he failed to secure that commitment.
If the Liberals really want to “Buy Canadian,” they should make it cheaper to build Canadian, stand up for our steelworkers, and stop sending jobs overseas.
Conservatives will fight for Canadian workers, Canadian industry and Canadian jobs.
It should not cost this much to fuel a country with some of the largest oil reserves on earth.
When diesel costs more, everything costs more — groceries, construction, farming and getting goods to market.
Conservatives have an Emergency Fuel Relief Plan to save Canadians money now and make Canada more energy independent:
• Eliminate federal taxes on diesel sales until at least Canada Day
• Remove federal taxes that increase the cost of producing diesel
• Fast-track refineries, storage and fuel transportation infrastructure
• Incentivize investment in Canadian refining and distribution
• Build a strategic Canadian gasoline and diesel reserve
• Increase Canadian refined fuel production and eliminate the Canada-U.S. diesel price gap within five years
Canada has the resources. Canadian workers have the expertise. And Canadian private industry can lead the way if the government gets out of the way.
Let’s lower costs, build at home and fuel ourselves and the world.
After years of unsustainable Liberal immigration policies, Canadians are still dealing with the consequences:
• Rents and housing costs under pressure
• Young Canadians struggling to find work
• Healthcare and schools stretched thin
• A massive asylum backlog
• People remaining in Canada after their legal status expires
And before these problems have been fixed, Mark Carney says he plans to increase immigration again.
Conservatives are calling for immigration levels to come down, stronger enforcement of our immigration laws, and action to ensure those with no legal right to remain in Canada leave.
Canada cannot afford to repeat the same mistakes.
If there is one thing that every Canadian, and certainly every politician, should honour and respect it’s the sacrifice of those who served our country and to whom we owe our very freedoms and democracy.
Why than did Mark Carney show such a lack of respect for our Veterans that he might have been the only person in the entire rink who didn’t even bother to stand and show his support for a Veteran?
This is completely disgusting.
A pedophile serving LIFE for sexually assaulting and murdering a 10-year-old girl was granted 60 days of unescorted leave from prison to take cooking classes.
He was denied day parole last year because he still posed a risk of serious harm.
Yet somehow, our federal corrections and parole system, under this Liberal government, decided this was appropriate.
After years of Liberal soft-on-crime policies that put the interests of offenders ahead of victims, Canadians have every right to demand better.
Heather Thomas deserved better. Her family deserves better.
Justice must put victims and public safety first.
Mark Carney promised restraint.
Instead, Canadians got more spending, more debt — and new accounting rules.
Now the PBO says some of the government’s operating vs. capital spending classifications appear contradictory and can’t be independently replicated from public information.
Canadians can’t redefine their bills to make the numbers look better.
Neither should their government.
