Immigration policy must be driven by the present, not the past, and business leaders are too terrified of the left AND the right to acknowledge this.
Recent H1B discourse revolves around a longstanding immigration sleight-of-hand. H1B proponents point to exceptional people who came here decades ago as if they represent the current state of the program in the same way that advocates for low-skill/illegal immigration point to very favorable immigrant crime/welfare/education/etc statistics that do, in truth, have them beating native-born Americans on many fronts.
It is all a sham. The world that created those statistics, people, and businesses no longer exists. Brilliant but desperate Vietnamese fathers who fled communism have nothing in common with young men from Honduras, and the crime rates/economic acccomplishments/integration of the former should not be used to justify mass migration of the latter.
Nor should the accomplishments of people who managed to get an H1B visa in the 90s (when the program was capped to just 65,000 visas) be used to justify staffing agencies and tech companies using the program to replace American jobs for less money. The obvious abuse going on is politically suicidal and something that even the most ardent supporters of the visa should want to crack down on, no immigration program can possibly survive the obvious and widely known reality of what is going on. I am a longtime outspoken advocate for stealing the best people from other countries to make our own better, runaway abuse of existing programs robs the government of the worker trust required to do so.
Lots of people in the tech space know this. Even the dumb people are smart enough to see it. Nobody actually believes these are all incredible people with unique talents performing jobs no American can. Everyone knows the guy in Cubicle Bay 7 doing mediocre but functional web design for half the salary of his American peers is no savant and doesn't meet the statutory requirements for his H-1B visa.
Unfortunately, most people with power or profile are terrified that any public statement or acknowledgement will get them attacked by the right (You guys have been screwing over American workers for years with visa abuse, you damn hypocrite!) or the left (You are racist, sexist, misogynist, and sucking up to this fascist administration!). Or, more likely, both. I know too many tech execs in particular who feel trapped, like the only winning move is to stay silent.
JD is blowing the whole thing wide open by putting facts and stats front and center that nobody wants to engage with. Critics will talk about anything and everything else but these damning facts and this obvious truth, that H1B visas serve neither their original purpose, legal purpose, invented purpose, or the American people.
Vice President JD Vance breaks down the data:
"If you are working as an H-1B visa in the United States of America, you’re earning $20,000 less than an American citizen hired in the same position. If you were brought in by one of these foreign outsourcing firms, you’re making $48,000 less than an American citizen in a similar position. So I’m sure that everybody here understands the game that is being played. You bring in indentured servants from outside the country, you lay off American workers and, if you’re a corporation, you make a ton of money by under cutting the wages of American workers, replacing them with people who frankly shouldn’t be in the United States of America to begin with."

Facing pushback on campus didn't stop Dartmouth student Vittorio from making history—leading the effort to make Dartmouth the first Ivy League institution to grant official RSO status to a TPUSA chapter.
Beyond his academic success, he leads with honesty and grit to keep open debate alive. So proud to award Vittorio a $5,000 scholarship! 👏🇺🇸

It’s really fascinating to me how quickly Hayes (and every other media figure who has ever bothered to cover this story) moves on from the topic of who exactly Omar’s second husband was.
Hayes asks Omar “who was this man that was your husband?” Notably, Omar doesn’t answer! She doesn’t say how they met or got married, or why she left her first husband to be with him (only to return to that husband three years later). In particular, she doesn’t explain the bizarre discrepancies between her legal marriages and her faith-based ones: Supposedly, she had a non-legal Islamic marriage with her first husband, then Islamically divorced him to legally marry her second husband, whom she remained legally married to for six years after reconciling with and Islamically remarrying her first husband. Then in 2018 she finally legally divorced the second husband to legally marry the first, but then legally divorced him the next year.
It’s a very weird personal history that, to my knowledge, has gone totally unexplained. That, more than anything, is why the brother marriage story has refused to die. Yet the mainstream press treats it all as totally uninteresting! I wonder why.
I’m telling you people, this is a fake desert.

Elections matter! When Ohioans vote these next two weeks, they should ask whether they want their children evaluated as individuals or if they want them discriminated against for being the wrong race.
To get into OSU Med, your application is screened & scored, & you must interview. But @CivilRights Division found that OSU Med uses a “side door” to admit certain races (but not Asians) w/o scoring or interviewing them! We will end these illegal & deeply unfair practices.

She would be at home with her children if she hadn't done crimes. This is a good incentive for people to not commit them.
Personally, I don't think that Utah County police, prosecutors, and defense attorneys are participating in a "humiliation ritual" to demoralize Americans into drafting women. It strikes me as rather, shall we say, implausible.
And let's be clear: If anybody is trying to demoralize ordinary Americans, it's Tucker. He's the one telling them that they should ignore record deportations, a massive drop in legal immigration, a 40% drop in drug ODs, record low murder rates, massive investment in reshoring manufacturing, stopping trans lunacy cold, and rolling back DEI, all in favor of a monomaniacal and relentlessly negative fixation on Israel. He's the one telling them "Why even vote, it's not real."
Personally, I think voting is real. I think 2024's election was very real for the 18-year-old white male who is finally getting the chance to apply for jobs on a fair playing field. It was real for the computer programmer who isn't getting replaced by an H-1B, or for the parent who isn't seeing their public school taken over by illegal immigrants anymore. It mattered for the person who didn't OD on smuggled fentanyl and the person who wasn't shot on the streets of D.C. due to the massive drop in crime.
2024 mattered for our country, and if someone is telling you that it didn't, or that the effect was completely negative, you should ask why they're doing that.

Before our visit to @TPUSA I already had a zero tolerance policy for any conspiracy slop trolls or Candace cult members and blocked them as soon as I saw any of their nonsense. And now, if it’s possible, I have a LESS THAN ZERO tolerance policy. The entire leadership team and their supporting staff is extraordinary. They are the kindest, most talented people ever and you can tell immediately why Charlie chose them to surround him.
I felt a bit like a mama bear wanting to defend and protect them before, but now I’m a full on rabid grizzly.

Let me rephrase that: LA County officials admitted that about half of a list of suspected noncitizens got ballots from them and nearly a third have voted.
Democrats: "Voting is impossible if you're not a citizen"
Random immigrant: "I've been voting for years and didn't even know it was illegal."
Indian immigrant Kamlesh Shah was "inspired by the presidential campaign of Kamala Harris", so he decided to see whether a new driver’s license meant he could cast a vote
An election worker gave him the OK and a ballot, and he voted

I didn't believe Donald Trump in 2016.
I didn't think he could deliver on half of what he promised.
Heading into his second term, I still had some doubts.
But with midterms just around the corner, I saw @BlakeSNeff’s scorecard, and I agree it's the perfect time to look at the actual record.

BREAKING: The flagship law review at UC Berkeley is poised to delete all internal application records after we reported on the journal's use of personal statements to promote "diversity," sparking concerns that the journal is attempting to destroy evidence of unlawful discrimination.
The law review will vote tomorrow on a document retention policy that would require the journal to delete all "Write-On application materials following the conclusion of each year's Write-On process," as well as any materials related to the election of the journal's Holistic Review Committee. It would also bar the law review from retaining "any recordings of election forums."
As a reminder, law review editors have pledged in writing to "uplift Native voices," weigh "diverse life experience" against "technical editing abilities," and "integrate anti-racist sentiment" into the selection process.

WE AUDITED ALL 58 FOREIGN-BORN FEDERAL JUDGES SITTING ON AMERICA'S BENCH FOR LIFE.
I spent over a billion tokens and about 45 days on this deep dive.
Through this deep dive and the over a million court cases we have combed through, we have launched an American First Index (AFI) for the site. (More on it as we improve the metrics and refine deeper.)
Out of 58 sitting foreign-born Article III judges, 43 were appointed by Biden or Obama. Among those drawn from ACLU and public defender pipelines, border enforcement is blocked over 80% of the time and 60% of criminal sentences fall below federal guidelines.
We have added an interactive tool on bench receipts that allows you to drill down and look at how each of these judges behave on the bench.
This is just the start. The federal judges are easier to identify than the state level judges. I assume there are 100s if not 1000+ foreign born or first-gen American on our benches.
They do not judge on our laws, they judge on the culture they came from. This is a huge reason our country has lost its identity.
