SCOTUS Redistricting Decision:
The question for the justices was whether the U.S. Constitution gave state legislatures the power to make the rules (including districting maps) of congressional elections, leaving the state courts cut out of the oversight process.
Court said- no.
BREAKING: The U.S. Supreme Court ruled that North Carolina’s top court did not overstep its bounds in striking down a congressional districting plan. The case would have left state legislatures virtually unchecked in making rules for federal elections. apne.ws/QQoRLpe
