Centerpoint just proved to every Houstonian and Texan that there is no way our Greater Houston Metroplex could withstand a Cat 3, 4, 5 Hurricane likened to Ike or Katrina as badly mismanaged as our power infrastructure has become.
The vast majority of the community is shut down and suffering needlessly from a storm that wasn't even hurricane status by the time it got to Houston.
We still have 3 months of danger folks...be prayerful.

So this is fun. We've been without internet for going on 7 hrs. The restored by time keeps getting pushed back. When you try to speak to customer service the automated crap says they can't help until service is restored. Looks like it's time to switch.

More issues with @SouthwestAir today. My evening flights started showing delays at 9 am. Eventually I was getting to DFW so late I was missing last flight out so changed to flight going through Houston. Paid for early check in and lost it on replacement flights.
.@SouthwestAir customer service said there was nothing they can do. Ridiculous to pay an upgrade fee for something you've already paid for when the issue is no fault of your own. I hate flying.
I've flown @SouthwestAir for years. After the issues I've had Monday and today I won't be flying with them again.
What's going on with @SouthwestAir today? Had friends stuck for hours waiting on SW last night and I'm stuck today. I've been wandering around Love Field and no other airlines seem to be having the issues SW is. May be time to start flying another airline.
