An 80-year-old praises Tesla FSD for making his 3,000-mile road trip easier and less tiring.
Bill Sniffin took the trip with his wife and daughter. He says his Tesla handled about 2,800 miles while he stayed attentive and supervised.
“This feature, alone, makes this car a good fit for an older person.”
He loves driving, but gets tired more easily at his age. Tesla made the journey less tiring, helping him keep enjoying something he loves.
This is why FSD matters for older people. Tesla is building technology that can make a real difference in everyday life.
The Vast-PAM-1 crew @thom_astro, @astro_ales, and @astro_adrianos visited Vast HQ to kickoff their orientation, headed to @SpaceX for suit fittings, sampled crew food options at Vast and @NASA, and met some of the teams behind the mission.
Vast is part of LA @Techweek_. Come hear from Vast Astronaut Advisor @Astro_Megan about her experiences in low-Earth orbit on Oct. 13 at 6p at our Long Beach HQ. Stay for a tour of the Haven-1 Experience, our near-scale model of Haven-1.

Deep in Scorpius, about 5,500 light-years away, a newborn star cluster is tearing its nursery apart.
Pismis 24 sits in the heart of the Lobster Nebula (NGC 6357), packed with some of the hottest, heaviest young stars in the nearby Milky Way. The standout is Pismis 24-1: once billed as a single monster of a star, it turned out to be a tight multiple system. Two of its members still weigh in around 74 and 66 times the mass of the Sun — among the most massive stars we can study up close.
Their radiation and hurricane-force winds slam into the surrounding gas and dust, carving cavities, ridges, and towering walls. Webb’s Near-Infrared Camera cuts through much of that dust and turns the hidden landscape into a riot of orange, red, blue, and green — not true visible colors, but mapped infrared wavelengths that reveal structure the eye could never see.
This is why the image matters. Massive stars live fast and rewrite their neighborhoods. In Pismis 24, astronomers can watch stellar birth, the upper limits of star mass, and the way young giants sculpt the interstellar medium — all in one glittering, violent scene.

Replying to @elonmusk
Two good shows that didn’t need gay written in. ‘For all mankind’ and ‘SEE’
Both would stand on their own without it.
Saw this vessel called Frote transporting one of @elonmusk Starships off our coast yesterday!
It was contracted by SpaceX to recover and transport the intact 52-meter-long Starship upper stage.
Was truly a magnificent thing to see 🚀🚀🚀🚀🫡😎

I don’t give a rats ass who this offends, but I stand by it. War is coming, sooner or later! You the Government!! You are all a bunch of cowards! You raised the cost of living so high that both parents are always at work, rather than spending time with their children (single parents stand no chance)😥. You took God out of schools. Parents were told 'No you can't discipline your kids'. Well, now most of those kids are rude and out of control. You shall reap what you sow! We have taken a whole generation and turned them into selfish, entitled brats who have no respect for people, property or authority! You deem people with terminal illnesses and some with only a few months to live…fit for work!!! You allow our veterans of war to go homeless and hungry but give out millions to foreign aid!!! You save drug addicts over and over again but refuse to give free diabetic supplies to those who need them to stay alive. You bend over backwards to be politically correct, too scared to say enough is enough, in case you offend someone. You put the retirement age up so people must work until they drop. You take care of prisoners and give them everything under the sun (food, medical, education, representation, money, rehabilitation) yet you cause the elderly, those that have paid their debt to society and their families, to go broke caring for them either at home or in a nursing home... THINGS NEED TO CHANGE!
