😅 At the 1995 BAFTA Awards, host Billy Connolly was left visibly flustered after Liz Hurley “bounced” onto the stage to present the Best Supporting Actor award. 😳
Hurley, wearing a revealing pink dress, ran down the steps to the podium, and the moment clearly threw Connolly off.
Once she had left the stage he didn’t hold back, telling the audience: “That run on just threw me there… that was very pleasant I must say. Jeez, we should do that much, much more often.” 🤣
Connolly handled it with the kind of quick, unfiltered humour that made him a legend. Billy’s wife Pamela Stephenson was in the crowd and found it hilarious.

Bob Uecker's "I must be in the front row" Miller Lite ad became bigger than the commercial campaign itself. The spot dates to the early 1980s and fit Uecker's self-deprecating persona perfectly.
He could be a baseball broadcaster, actor and comedian without changing the character much at all. Nobody played the lovable guy who knew he wasn't the star better than Uecker.
