The Chicago White Sox are hiring Matt Roffe as scouting director, league sources tell me and @Ken_Rosenthal. Roffe was previously with the Milwaukee Brewers as an assistant director of domestic scouting.

A first, literally: Jeffery Simmons is the first defensive tackle in the common draft era since 1967 to be traded for multiple first-round picks.
Dan got some raves from, ironically, Quenton Nelson as an AFC South division rival. They’re likely to meet again Monday night #Bears

Titans GM Mike Borgonzi and Bears GM Ryan Poles worked together in Kansas City from 2009-21, and actually were together at Boston College in 2007 when Poles was a player and Borgonzi was a young assistant.
High level of trust b/w the two was a big factor in the Simmons deal.
That's a LOT of chips Ryan Poles just pushed into the middle of the table, sacrificing his next 2 first rounders. For an impact player under control? Yes. #Bears ramifications galore.

Caleb Williams spoke about the cleats he was fined nearly $12,000 for wearing during the Bears Thursday night victory over the Patriots earlier today at Halas Hall.
The cleats, produced by an innovative shoe company known as Caddix, use SmartStuds technology with the intent to help athletes better avoid non-contact knee and ankle injuries in sports like football, soccer and lacrosse.
Nice fight & battle from #Bulls against the champs in the 2nd of back-to-back who prob thought they could cruise. These are the ones in what'll be a long season to hopefully grow on. And oh - Jalen Brunson's still remarkable @WGNNews @GNSportsTV
