Bro ask Jesus to give you peripheral vision
In life, I struggle, I suffer, I’m tempted, I’m tested, sometimes I feel so weak. But when I am weak, I am strong. Because Christ, He is my hope, He is my strength, He is a firm foundation that never fails. Jesus is worthy of it all. May He be glorified always, not just on the mountain tops, but even in the valleys.
“Let all that I am wait quietly before God, for my hope is in him. O my people, trust in him at all times. Pour out your heart to him, for God is our refuge.”
Psalms 62:5, 8
I watched every World Baseball Classic game with great intensity...
I've watched maybe a third of the playoffs and the tail end of the World Series games...
Just missing a lot of electricity idk, maybe I'm a fake baseball fan

Celtics announcers DISSED Jaylen Brown 😭
"Tatum has ZERO turnovers tonight."
"If I were to do PR work for Jayson Tatum, I'd just remind everyone who led the league in turnovers last year."
I mean this Bruins game is a lot closer than you would think with the Canes having triple the amount of shots on goal... Let's go boys let's at least try to get a point here and tie it up

A lot of people are freaking out about the Patriots not getting Quenton Nelson, but I don’t think it was ever really in the cards.
It’s fairly clear that they don’t want to give up any more significant draft capital this season, even if with the injury scenario being what it is.
I’m not saying I agree with this line of thinking, but I I think it’s just the reality of the situation.

Taco Bell not doing “Steal a Base, Steal a Taco” for the World Series is a recession indicator.

I'm ngl I haven't really been watching the World Series.
There is something to be said about having villains in baseball, what once used to be the Yankees who outspent everyone is now the Dodgers.
I watched last years World Series pretty closely because I was rooting against the Dodgers and the year before that I was rooting for the Dodgers to beat the Yankees (lesser of two evils).
As a fan of baseball and the Red Sox I love seeing teams that have never won or are in a drought playing...
But man do I also love a good villain to root against

I know Bruins homers are looking at their win loss record too much & not looking nearly enough at their underlying metrics & where their team & organizational holes still are
Homers will say they're 2nd in Goals Against, true
Also true? When you look at the advanced stats that GA is ALL tied to Jeremy Swayman, again!!!
The Bruin at 5x5:
xGA: 22nd
Shots Against: 24th
Scoring Chances Against: 23rd
High Danger Scoring Chances Against: 26th
Total xGA (All strengths): 25th
Those defensive stats are called "bad" Bruins homers
Meanwhile, Swayman is once again Top 5 in 5x5 Saves Above Expected, Save% Above Expected & GAA Better than Expected
Homers the ONLY WAY Swayman can be Top 5 in all of those advanced goalie stats is.... If the Bruins defense stinks!!!
It's the ONLY WAY, so deny reality all you want to, it's still reality
If you're goalie is Top 5 in all key advanced goalie stat but your defense is bottom 5-10 in every key advanced defensive stat, it only says two real things about your team...
One: Your goalie is playing at an elite level and Swayman is doing that
AND... T
Two: Your defense kind of sucks & your goalie is being forced to bail them it constantly
Boston's defense still kind of sucks and Swayman is just, once again, covering up the defense's stink & bailing them out every game making dopey homers believe that Boston's defense is now somehow good
It's not and again, both all of their advanced defensive stats and Swayman's advanced stats say it!!!
They also still lack a real 1C & they may have the NHL's worst defensive pipeline
Additionally, four of their current NHL d-men are already over 30 in Hampus, Zadorov, Borgan and Clifton. McAvoy is nearly 29, Lohrei is nearly 26, Aspirot is nearly 28
Not a lot of youth there and if you take out McAvoy there's nothing but the corpse of Hampus Lindholm and a bunch of bottom pair guys who are mostly over 30 or approaching it
Their defense isn't very good and now that Brunet is here, the next real Bruins defensive prospect that'll make it to Boston and when is an unknown. Maybe Groenwold in 2028-29?
So yes, take big swings but only take big swings on real 1Cs and real Top 4 Dmen that you can sign long term
Otherwise, just stick with the current game plan & youth movement and see where it goes the next few years before trying to blow it all up chasing a one-time shot this year with a team that's still trying to figure out who they are
I can already envision all the FanDuel and DraftKings settlements in 5 years and they'll be this new generations mesothelioma commercials

Again, love and respect JB for what he did for this team AND city.
But you can directly compare the two completely different ways that JT and JB have gone about this.
JT said it right... One of them is an entertainer the other sticks to basketball
