It’s surreal that he’s gone. I have never mourned an actor so much but Dave Turner and the amazing character arc he had will forever live on. Thank you Jahmil for giving me one of my favorite Degrassi characters 🤍

Who gave countless black boys in the fandom representation. Dave was a bright and hilarious person who owned up to his mistakes and learned from them every time. He’s my messy king and that’s that.

Therefore in honor of Jahmil, who played Dave with great talent despite what he was given with the material, I’ll be making a thread, a poll, or a tournament to appreciate Dave in a few years. Thank you Jahmil for playing a realistic black teenage boy (2)

Y’all know how protective I am of the black characters on Degrassi. Y’all also probably know that despite there being valid reasons to dislike Dave that I still feel that he is overhated compared to the white characters who did the same bad things he did. (1)
