9 out of 10 are abuse cases says Natalie Assumption: Dad is the abuser The pattern I see is that abuse is raised when one parent has issues maintaining a healthy relationship with their children because of interference from the other. Q: Who is the real abuser?
I wonder what the source of those statistics is? It would be useful to see the underlying data, particularly given that the so-called “presumption” has not yet been repealed. An interesting example of how the same issue can be framed upside down and back to front though.

This is Rick Rescorla. He died 25 years ago today, when the South Tower of the World Trade Centre collapsed following a terrorist attack. His actions that day saved thousands of lives and today schoolchildren in Cornwall will take part in a parade in his honour.

9/11 is a harrowing reminder of the very best and worst of men. Yes, all 19 hijackers were men, but it’s also true that the 343 firefighters who lost their lives to save those within the towers were all men too. Men are capable of both terrible harm, and heartbreaking heroism.

This 👇 🎯 Well done Sam. You're right, CMS isn't fit for purpose and this is only the beginning.
BBC Panorama helped bring the experiences of parents affected by the CMS into the national spotlight — but this is only the beginning. Coverage is only valuable if it leads to action. #BothParentsMatter #ChildMaintenance #CMS #PayingParents #TimeForChange

Well done Sam Morfey and @Gingerbread CEO Abigail Wood. You both perfectly explained why CMS isn't fit for purpose for either parent, and that ultimately it's the children who suffer when they fail to get the calculation right for both parents.
Our CEO Sam Morfey’s BBC Breakfast interview is only available to watch until tomorrow! Access the clip to hear the paying parent perspective and our call for change to the CMS. 📺bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/m0… (7.31am or 1.31 into the programme) #ChildMaintenance #BBCBreakfast #CMS

No Jennifer. In the last year, 25% of boys in the UK, who were in a relationship, were pressured or coerced into sexual activity. In the last year, 2.3% of girls (and 3.3% of boys) have perpetrated sexual assault. 71% of British men have been sexually victimised by a women.
Replying to @AngelUKxx
I've never heard of girls sexual abusing boys or raping boys and men.

CMS is supposed to make life easier for parents to sort their maintainance payments, by minimising direct contact. The calls to our help line and stories we hear in our groups Both Parents Matter tell a different story - and they're heartbreaking 💔
📺 Watch Panorama on BBC 1, Monday at 8pm, as our CEO - Sam Morfey - calls for greater transparency, accountability and fairness from the CMS — and proper recognition of the circumstances and continuing role of both parents. #Panorama #CMS bbc.co.uk/programmes/m002zlr…

Shared parenting is hard. The CMS can make it harder, so much harder than it should be, leaving parents penniless and giving up on the will to live, when they can no longer afford to live.
Check out BBC's Panorama on Monday 8pm BBC1 which asks whether the Child Maintenance Service is failing both parents and children. Both Parents Matter is proud to have represented paying parents on the programme. bbc.co.uk/programmes/m002zlr… #Panorama #CMS #ChildMaintenance

I've produced hundreds of posts, and countless hours of podcasts to try and highlight how bogus political ideology erases male victims of abuse. But the single most effective image that represents how modern society sees male victims, remains this iconic document. It's perfect.

Can't help but admire the prescience of @BelvedereBrooks, who in our podcast (released the day before this announcement), made the point that: "We need less talk of masculinity, and more talk of apprenticeships." 24 hours later and boom, the PM announces this incredible policy.
Let’s stop telling young people there’s only one way to succeed.

Are you tired of the endless, male deficit view of young men and boys? The gloomy, cynical view, that only sees men and boys as being problems, and never as having problems? Always the male perpetrators, and never the victim… Always the privileged, and never the harmed… Always to be sneered at, and never celebrated… The societal insistence that boys are sponges for negativity, just waiting to be brainwashed by the so-called “mansophere”. “Slugs, snails and puppy dog tails, that’s what boys are”, as the nursery rhyme goes. Well, I believe boys deserve better. Much better. So I ask you: what does a more boy positive conversation look like? And how do we make it happen? What do you think? New podcast with award-winning policy advisor for men and boys @BelvedereBrooks out now! youtube.com/watch?v=ep6WOiIy…
