A study in #ASNCJASN analyzed the relationship between kidney function, measured by eGFR, and the risk of unplanned hospital readmission or death within 30 days post-discharge. Results found that heart failure was the primary reason for readmission among lower eGFR patients. kidney.pub/CJASN1032

When we aren’t doing our bench work, we try to show that women’s health research is underfunded. Here is our latest showing that over 15 years at CIHR (Canada’s major health funder) has funded 6.4% of grants in women’s health and 7.16% in 2023

New meta-analysis of 116 RCTs (+200K patients) found interventions using EHRs can help reduce hospital readmissions (17% fewer in 30 days, and 28% in 90 days).
