YOUNG PLAYERS: You don't know how much the little things stand out. The way you... ⚾️ Wear your uniform ⚾️ Hustle on and off the field ⚾️ Run out every ball ⚾️ Back up bases ⚾️ Look a coach in the eye ⚾️ Respond to failure ⚾️ Swing at strikes & take balls ⚾️ Talk to umpires ⚾️ Treat your mom/dad/family Just to name a few. Those who get paid to notice things, don't miss anything. Somebody is always watching 👀

If you’re a coach, business owner, or anyone who leads people, you need to get your hands on Everyone Is a Leader by Brian Dodd. What I love about this book is that it’s not just something you read once and put away. It’s the kind of book you keep on your shelf and come back to. Full of leadership stories and real-life experiences you can pull from when you need perspective, encouragement, or a reminder of what leadership is really about. As coaches, we’re always looking for ways to better lead, serve, and invest in the people around us. This book gives you so many examples to learn from and apply in your own leadership. Brian, thank you for the handwritten note and for allowing me to be a small part of this project. Grateful for the work you’re doing and the resource you’ve put together! Leaders, add this one to your shelf. You’ll be glad you did. 👊

Georgia high school students stage a fight to bait their principal to break it up, so they could sing him happy birthday. Lakeview Fort Oglethorpe High School principal Bobby Davis was seen sprinting to the fight to break it up. After Davis ripped the prank fight apart, the students started singing happy birthday. "He single-handedly changed me for the better, and he knows I could never take it for granted," said the student who came up with the idea. "the things he’s done during my time at LFO are truly memories i’d die with. i was so happy to come up with this idea and do it for him."

COACHES: When you ask players to open up, be prepared to listen. Not to respond. Not to correct. Not to fix everything. Just listen. Sometimes, players don’t need another answer. They need to know they can be honest without being judged. You can’t ask for vulnerability and respond with criticism. Trust is built in what you do with what they share. #GoodBatting
