If you’re in good health and you think you’ve had a bit of a bad day at the office or you feel like you’re getting a bum deal, or moneys a bit tight at the moment. Go and sit on a cancer ward for a few hours like I just have..
It’ll put everything into perspective..

Guess we can look back fondly at one part of that day this time last year. No one sung this better across the country.

Hang on Owen, you are an important voice here, but I don't think you fully recognise what is happening.
I have lived in several areas that you would consider to be “multicultural”, only they are not multicultural at all, but plural monocultural- lots of segregated societies, living side-by-side to each other.
This makes sense, because of the phenomenon of people tending to gravitate towards like-minded people. Hence, why people congeal in particular areas.
Just because I frequent a shop that is owned by someone culturally different to myself, doesn’t mean that we are “mixing together”.
I’m not calling this out to be good or bad, I’m just pointing out that it’s not the symbiotic melting pot that you present it to be, and if you want to have a society that functions more cohesively, you need to recognise the part you play in keeping it divided.

Many good people genuinely ask how a mayor with this record could get elected.
Even taxi drivers who usually have their ear to the ground have asked me over the past month - ‘surely he can’t get in again?’
To which I would say: you’ve got to wise up.
His victory was never in doubt because people vote along cultural lines now.
Issues such as knife crime, police behaviour and Ulez ultimately don’t matter ; they’re voting for him because of what he represents.
London is now a majority minority city. At the last census it was down to 37% white British, and that is a transformation which has happened in 25 years. Extraordinary and unprecedented.
Khan will have had the vote of ethnic minorities as well as the young ,liberal white woke who set the cultural agenda of the city.
In other words, exactly like New York. That’s the reality.
