I have never forgotten the ending of #TheDiaryOfAnneFrank: “I still believe that people are really good at heart.” I think this has always been my central tenant & why I try to be a bridge builder. God bless her & us. #AnneFrank #peace #NeverForget

It is no more of a challenge to think of the saints praying for us than it is to understand how any prayer, on earth or in heaven, interacts with the will of God. americamagazine.org/good-wor…

8 years ago, 11 innocent people at the Tree of Life synagogue here in Western PA were brutally murdered in a vile, antisemitic attack. Today and always, we remember Joyce, Richard, Rose, Jerry, Cecil, David, Bernice, Sylvan, Daniel, Melvin, and Irving.

This is what a 34-week-old baby looks like outside the womb. In Virginia, democrat politicians are trying to make it legal to abort an unborn baby at this age. The only difference is the child’s location.

Mattie and St. Jude Thaddeus October is a month we honor many glorious saints, including Saint Jude Thaddeus, known as the saint for the impossible. Mattie’s short and difficult life seemed impossible yet as a Catholic he leaned into his faith, remembering not only St. Jude,

Running for Congress? You should be able to sincerely and strongly condemn Hamas & terrorists. American? You should be able to sincerely and strongly condemn Hamas & terrorists.
Hadar Hoshen was brutally murdered by Hamas on the morning of October 7 while trying to flee the music festival. Ten days later, she was identified through DNA testing. We will never forget.

12-year-old Artem Koval died in hospital today from injuries he got when a Russian drone struck a park in Nova Vodolaha. His 8-year-old sister, Arina, was killed that day, too. Their mom, Liliia, was also injured. Deepest condolences...

Stop Putin now
Ukrainian POW returned from Russian captivity in prisoner exchange had “Jew” carved into his back. Putin isn’t fighting Nazis, he IS the Nazi.

Bp Boxie gave a stirring homily at @ADWDDMinistry @WashArchdiocese #WhiteMass and then displayed some line-dancing moves at the reception! A little mellow moment below spent w @Mattie_Matters #MattiesGuild.

This Christian woman from Nigeria watched as Islamic terrorists murdered her husband and two little children right in front of her. Then they chopped off her hand. We have to speak up for these persecuted Christians. We have to stop this genocide.

When Ellie Goldstein was born, the doctor held her up and declared: “This is Ellie; she’s got Down syndrome. She will never walk, talk, or go to university.” Here she is competing on Strictly Come Dancing:

Your donations tomorrow at Mass can help build a church befitting for worship in this community, schools, hospitals and rectory. Donate generously to support World Mission Sunday.
What if you could help spread the Gospel to communities you may never have the opportunity to visit? What if your little contribution could help build a church, support a priest, provide relief materials, or bring hope to people who desperately need it? 🙏🏽❤️ You may not be able to travel to remote communities to preach the Gospel or offer direct assistance, but you can still be part of this beautiful mission through your donations. Tomorrow, at Mass, you have an opportunity to make a difference. Please, do not let it pass you by. Many communities lack basic necessities such as hospitals, schools, decent places of worship, and rectories where priests can live and carry out their ministry. This is why your donation matters. Every contribution, no matter how small, can make a difference in the lives of these communities and help spread the Gospel. My own diocese has benefited greatly from this support. When our Cathedral was bombed by Boko Haram on Sunday, June 17, 2012, financial assistance came from Rome to help repair the damage. And that money did not simply come from the Pope's pocket. It came, in part, from the generosity of Catholics who contribute to the Church's missionary work and charitable causes around the world. Tomorrow, please, let us give generously. ❤️ As Catholics, we are all called to be missionaries. Some go out into remote communities to preach the Gospel and serve the people directly, while others support the mission through their prayers and donations. Both forms of service matter. Both help build up the Church and bring Christ's love to those in need. You may not be able to go, but you can help someone else go. You may not be able to build a school or a church yourself, but your contribution can help make it possible. Do not be left out of the mission. Give generously tomorrow at Mass. 🙏🏽❤️

Free will Focus on your blessings and saying yes to God
Mattie, some might say, seemingly had little to offer, but he had YES. Mattie came from humble beginnings and lived a difficult and pain-filled life, but a life borne with grace and conviction and happiness. Mattie chose to focus on blessings, not burdens.

Virginia could make abortion a “constitutional right.” Question 1 would allow abortion up to birth. This is what a baby looks like in the third trimester. This child is not a body part. He or she is not a clump of cells. This child is a unique and valuable human being worthy of protection. Vote NO.
