"Brit" and "Aussie" are neutral, widely accepted abbreviations that people routinely use to describe themselves.
The P-word, on the other hand, has a long history in Britain as a racist slur. It was/is shouted at South Asian immigrants as they were/are abused, assaulted and terrorised on British streets. The racist violence of the 1970s and 1980s even became known as "P***-bashing."
And the insult wasn't confined to Pakistanis. It was routinely directed at Indians, Bangladeshis and other South Asians, regardless of their actual nationality.
Words don't acquire their meaning simply from the letters they contain. They acquire meaning from their history, context and usage.
It's really not that difficult to understand. Unless you're a far-right thicko.

The launch of an independent review will seek answers to what more could have been done to prevent this tragedy.
Henry Nowak was just 18 years old, with his whole life ahead of him. His murder was a horrific and senseless crime, and my thoughts remain with his family and friends, who have endured unimaginable loss and heartbreak.
The Nowak family have shown extraordinary courage and dignity in their pursuit of answers. Henry’s case has raised serious and legitimate questions about whether more could have been done to prevent this tragedy, and about the response of public authorities in its aftermath.
An independent review will seek those answers.
I am grateful to Alex Chalk for agreeing to lead this important work. He brings considerable experience and expertise, and I know he will conduct the review with the rigour, independence and seriousness that Henry’s case demands.

Two men have been jail for dangerous driving which a mother and her 4 year old daughter we're killed.
Hardeep Bhachu, aged 29, of Grant Row Adel, Leeds was jailed for 12 years causing the deaths of 27-year-old Justyna Hulboj and her daughter Lena Czepczor by dangerous driving.
Jasskamal Riyat ( 1st pic) was jailed for 16 years found guilty of two counts of causing death by dangerous driving and he was sentenced today to 16 years.
