Things that have improved my writing: - beta readers - reading published books regularly - English/writing classes - writing - failing and trying again Things that have NEVER improved my writing: - some rando online telling me that my methods suck - that I suck - to kms - etc.

you tell a fic writer that there's resources to improve their writing so they don't get the criticism they don't want and they act like you told them to lay in front of a bus

Estaba hablando con un muti en inglés y puse nye, me preguntó que era y no supe como explicarle el meme de Naco y Estúpido de Cepillin sin lucir como un loco

“doesn’t mean we have to accept-“ the concept of ‘don’t like don’t read’ has officially died

everyone knows fanfiction is mostly written for fun, but that doesn’t mean we have to accept writing from people who barely can form a sentence + as with every “hobby”, isn’t improving your craft kind of the point? you wouldn’t applaud someone who sucks at any other art form

no shade but some of you are losing the plot when it comes to this fanfic discourse. "fanfic authors need to respect readers' time" doesn't sound like a crazy statement to you? over something you're not paying for?😭

no one's asking you to applaud fics you dislike, we're just asking you to NOT BE AN ASSHOLE DIRECTLY TO THE AUTHOR'S FACE????
