‘What are we doing?’ I should’ve trademarked this. Lesson learned. Go Canes!
Jay-Z is a former drug dealer that raps profanity and threw gay parties with Diddy, and now he's the Super Bowl Halftime performer? What are we doing?

If DJ Jacobs doesn’t make a smart move to the U, I’d go all in on Luke Wafle next year.

Mario clearly wasn’t happy with the reserves today referring to the 4th quarter and players not playing to the standard. I think those groupings have too much of a drop off for his liking — guys that probably won’t be key contributors as we continue to make roster upgrades year over year.
Post game takes. 1. Mal x 2: Mallory + Mali are simply amazing. I think it’s time to increase Mallory and Lyle and limit Fletcher. Lyle is trending up and Fletcher is not. Would limit him to certain situations when we need his pass blocking and as a change of pace. 2. Mensah is him! Our offense is super high powered. 3. Glad to see Jacobs, Wingo and Barkate all eat. 4. OL still has things to clean up especially penalties but continue to get better and are starting to gel. 5. Lofton is Mr. consistent this year. All ACC tight end. 6. Heatherman is still telegraphing safety blitzes. Corners are still a work in progress. They had a lot of drops and a very weak QB. 7. Elevate Hellcat over Pringle. 8. Love seeing the young TEs doing their thing — Briggs and Mueller. 9. J Carter is also trending up at DT! 10. Lafayette is going to be a key contributor to the team for years to come.

And Rhys Woodrow: B-. Seems to be in the mix for a backup C position. Struggled in spring due to it being a new position but seems to be improving. He seems to be ahead of Kline and a number of OL who are getting little to no playing time including Demetrius Campbell and Juan Minaya - neither of which have logged a snap this year and Jaden Wilkerson.

‘26 high school recruit mid season player review #CANES
Replying to @BrizCane
Mid season review of ‘26 high school class Cantwell: major disappointment thus far. That caliber of recruit is expected to be a day 1 or at least an instant impact player. Wingo: love the upside. Earning more reps. Polished WR with good measurables and route running. Parris: getting special teams burn and spot duty at WR in garbage time. Don’t expect him to be a front line player seeing what we’re bringing in. Asshari Charles: incomplete. Had a good camp but rumors were circulating about him being in the dog house. Finally saw him getting snaps at edge with last unit this past week and some run on specials. Stancil: Getting garbage time burn but hasn’t flashed. Has upside so it’s a wait and see for me. JJ Dunningan: AA freshman level. Making rookie mistakes but high football IQ and great take. Getting starter reps. Portis: garbage time. Incomplete. Mueller: A-. Getting a lot of burn. Scored his first career TD and appears to be earning the trust of the coaches. Waters: got some garbage reps early in season and haven’t seen him since. Not on travel team. Cogdon: B+ earned starter spot. Think he’s ultimately a tackle. Is playing more than he should which speaks to the need to up the talent pool at OL. Jordan Campbell: incomplete. Have high hopes for him down the road. Has the intangibles to make his mark at LB and specials. Ervin: disappointed thus far. Should be getting quality reps but is nowhere to be found. Lafayette: going to be a key contributor to the team for years to come. Getting quality burn at edge and on specials. Briggs: trending up. Earning more reps. Big future ahead. Spafford: doing his thing when given the opp. More than I expected. Don’t see him as a future starter but can possibly carve out a role as a key contributor role player. Chuk: undersized DT. Incomplete. Edwards: incomplete. Undersized LB. Could be a special teams specialist moving forward. Dereon Coleman: incomplete. Beat out Judd Anderson but not Luke Nickel. Future is TBD with 5 stars coming in and portal additions uncertainty at his position. Fred Santius: developmental player. Can they develop him into becoming a contributor. The only true DT from a body composition standpoint in this class. Tyler Bacon: undersized DT. Getting spot duty during garbage time. JAG is his ceiling IMO. Nagle: another undersized DT getting garbage mins. TBD. Mallory: A+ freshman AA. Exceeding expectations! Brody Jennings: getting mins but work in progress. Cortez Redding: incomplete Wyman: hit the portal. Canon Pickett: incomplete. Sparks: not P4 caliber. Tyran Evans: same review as Sparks. Jacob Hawks: incomplete. Took 30 players in class. Some hits and misses as expected. The only real negative is the DT recruiting. Took too many guys with same body types — undersized.
