Right after that he flips it by questioning why people keep bringing up his past statements, calling it a personal attack, and then pointing at alleged sexual misconduct cases in the organisation as if that makes the criticism of him less valid. That’s not accountability. That’s deflecting. If the issue was something he said or did, the response should stay on that instead of shifting the conversation to “why are you attacking me personally” and “but what about these other cases”. Distancing himself from Demokrat UKM and then spending more space doubling down on his political stance than actually addressing what he was called out for doesn’t fix the fact that the apology part itself is thin and defensive.
