ALT Four tips for creating neuroinclusive workplaces. 1. Make expectations clear. Be specific about priorities, deadlines, responsibilities, and what success looks like. Do not assume everyone will interpret an unwritten expectation the same way. 2. Provide direct, actionable feedback. Say what is working, what needs to change, and what the employee can do differently. Specific feedback is more useful than hints or vague language. 3. Check for understanding, not agreement. Instead of “Does that make sense?” try “What are your next steps?” This helps clarify expectations and confirm understanding without putting someone on the spot. 4. Focus on outcomes, not process. Provide flexibility in how employees achieve outcomes and where they are successful, not in how they got there."

ALT Quote from Bailey: "I mostly focused on automating some processes for my team and leaving documentation so they could fix things if they broke in the future. It’s been tough but educational trying to communicate coding concepts to people who don’t know much about computer science, but my hope is that I’ll be clear enough that the automation has lasting value to the team."
