That’s a wrap on Condemned Criminal Origins + combat + atmosphere + level design + weapon variety While it’s not exactly perfect, this is a monumental achievement from monolith— especially considering they launched F.E.A.R. around the same time

There is such a desire nowadays to dismiss the work of artists, under the guise of being some articulated intellectual with higher standards. It’s really gross. Criticism should be well intentioned or productive, otherwise it’s just attention seeking.

It's funny when gaming fanboys have hissy fits over stuff like the Mario Movie or Street Fighter getting a 50 on rottentomatoes. They literally can't comprehend that something shouldn't be an automatic 8/10 just because it's a functioning product

What I would give to forget Dark and watch it all again. Not only is it one of the best shows on Netflix, it’s definitely one of the best tv shows ever made. Perfection.

Environments in Condemned are dripping with spooky ambience. You feel like there’s always someone watching I love the city setting of this game, reminds me of max Payne in a lot of ways

Jokes aside, it's actually insane how normalized alcohol is. Straight up poison in a bottle, more harmful than a lot of illegal substances, but so widely available with close to no limits for how much you can legally purchase and consume as an adult. I think I’m done this time.

The lighting is so phenomenal in Condemned Criminal Origins. Despite some low-poly/detailed textures, I honestly think gaming aesthetic peaked here. We should want more games to look like Xbox 360 era (twisted tower is a great example)
