An #NIH-funded study provides new insight into the challenges of nonverbal communication faced by autistic adults.
Researchers hope the study will inform improved communication efforts for those with family, friends, colleagues or patients that are autistic, including being open to their preferred communication style and checking in to make sure a message was received correctly. bit.ly/3TOTLAB
