Ankylosaurid skull (?Tarchia) exhibited at the Pocheon "Art garden 1999". I think this is the only occurrence of a scleral ring preserved for an ankylosaur #FossilFriday #thyreophora #ankylosauria

Glad to hear that! This is the taiwanese specimen. I have little information, and it is unclear whether it is housed in a private or public museum.

While looking at 📷 of AMNH 5665, I noticed the second cervical ring shows the presence of extra osteoderms that close the ring ventrally. I haven't been able to find any bibliographic references, and all reconstructions omitted it. thoughts? @Paleojim #ankylosauria #paleoart
Mi Ar-mor!❤️ #Edmontonia rugosidens, AMNH FARB 5665, found in 1917 from Dinosaur Park Formation, Late #Cretaceous Alberta, Canada, purchased by AMNH from Sternberg commercial fossil finding family. It took 223 days to prepare for display. They left it “as is.” #FossilCrates
