Doing downtime investigations with players. There's a lot more back and forth than I'd like. The intent is they would do the book work and talking then the session would be for action. They just keep wanting to do the action stuff. Research is boring.

This will go unappreciated in history but today October 16th 2026 the BrOSR once and for all defeated the soup aisle

Oh ho! I turn 38 today! It's a natural effect of studying the American Revolution that you compare achievements relative to age (Jefferson was 33, for example), but I can at least say I've authored a good book about my favorite hobby. 🎂

Thank you to all who have filled out the #BrOSR survey. Some great results so far, but I know that the movement is much bigger! Please share. docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1F…

Chapter 4 of Book 2 is here. I promised I'd make you cry. This may well do so. It has inspiration from personal events I don't want to get into. Please enjoy it. archiveofourown.org/works/94…

I've never been a big fan of Harry Potter. I read the books when they came out and enjoyed them well enough and then forgot about them once I was done. They're fine. I especially dislike fan fiction, it's derivative and a waste of time in my opinion. However. I am a fool for wholesome romance and this whole #mafoid movement has swept me up. I just finished this first book of @NWBroJaneway's and it is delightful. Somehow it hits the right spot for me and I am looking forward to the continuation. This IS good, keep going brother! #ThankYouJaneway

Reading Dracula right now. I've never read, but it's been pretty good so far. This is how I picture Dracula in my head, based on his description.

The ball is rolling (slowly) with call of cthulhu. There are some hooks and going ons so hopefully the players start getting in the mix soon. I'll have a proper update after my work week is done.
