Nothing comes sweeter than when the court of public opinion of people you served for 10 years as a district political head and 20 years as a healthcare civil servant vindicates you on a day of exposing and embarrassing leaders deemed offside of moral lines..
I dont claim sainthood at all (for I will never be) but just come hubly here to say, THANK YOU PEOPLE OF KISORO FOR RECEIVING HON. BALAAM AND PAINTING NO DARK SPORT ON MY NOSE.
I WILL FOREVER BE GRATEFUL. Even if anything cropped up later, it would be more of politics but not outright roasting a long time companion on a hot pan of shame. You demonstrated a favourable colour of the litmus paper about me. Leading a local government like Kisoro is not a jocking subject.
If I was there I would remind the minister of episodes of violence and economic loss of tourism business. I would demand compensation as it was done to business people of S. Sudan, those that were chased from S. Africa and recent flooded sections of Kampala City
Several threats to tourism industry include crossborder instability and exagulated news of disease outbreaks which have kept gorilla visitors away causing financial loses. Heavy and instant influx of refugees has left the district with increased vulnerability to climate shocks due to degraded environment. I want to petition the Speaker of Parliament of Uganda on these issues as an Opinion Leader.
PEOPLE OF KISORO, I KNOW YOU WOULD STILL VOTE FOR ME IF I OFFERED MYSELF FOR THE SAME BUT I OPTED TO VENTURE IN UNCHARTED WATERS OF PARLIAMENT.
May God bless Kisoro, May God bless Uganda, May God bless Africa.

BREAKING NEWS: 29 OFFICERS INTERDICTED IN KISORO DISTRICT
Kisoro — In a massive anti-corruption crackdown, 29 officers from Kisoro District Local Government have been interdicted.
Umukiza @BalaamBarugahar yaje. Kisoro district is bleeding with corruption.
What do you lose by putting a smile on someone’s face or showing kindness to those in need? Sometimes, the smallest act of kindness can make the biggest difference in someone’s life. ❤️
What’s really the difference between black tea worth UGX 10,000 and one of UGX 500 from a ghetto or kafunda? 😂😂
This rainy weather has me running to the ghettos for the cheapest black tea I can find. At this point, I’m not even trying to be fancy. As long as it’s hot, sweet, and warms my body, I’m good! 😂☕
As for hygiene, please don’t ask me too many questions. I believe my immune system is strong enough to negotiate with the environment. 🤣🤣
What’s the difference between black tea worth UGX 10,000 and the one sold in the ghettos for UGX 500? 😂☕
Can Someone Please Extend a Helping Hand to These Two Vulnerable Children on Mutanda Island? ❤️
Is there anyone willing and able to support these two needy siblings from Mutanda Island Village in Kisoro District?
Although both parents are alive, the family is living in extremely difficult circumstances. The mother is the family’s sole breadwinner. She collects firewood and spends entire days working in other people’s gardens in exchange for food to keep her family going. Her husband is an elderly, abandoned man, and the burden of providing for the family rests heavily on her shoulders.
Sadly, the two children are currently out of school because their parents cannot afford the UGX 30,000 (approximately $8–$10) required per child per term to access basic education.
It is heartbreaking to see children miss out on education simply because their family cannot afford such a small amount.
I am reaching out to well-wishers, kind-hearted individuals, and anyone willing to make a difference in these children’s lives. Any support in the form of school fees, food supplies, clothing, or other basic necessities would be greatly appreciated.
Sometimes, a small act of kindness can change a child’s future. Let us come together to give these two children hope and a chance at a better life.
Who is willing to stand with these children? Every contribution counts.

While in Kisoro, you may think it’s just hills & mist.. but look closer.
Tools tells stories—from hoes to woven baskets, to Batwa spears passed down through generations
Culture lives in the everyday.
And a trek in Mgahinga is not just about golden monkeys—it’s heritage itself⛰️

One of the most beautiful areas in world. Kisoro, a district in southwestern Uganda, can be praised for its vibrant culture, stunning natural beauty, including the Mgahinga Gorilla National Park, and its role as a gateway to gorilla trekking and other wildlife experience.

Sharing a quiet lunch with the gentle giants of the Virunga Mountains is pure magic!
Look closely, this peaceful mountain gorilla even had a tiny Rwenzori chameleon hitching a ride on its head during our 2 days Rwanda trek!
