Congratulations to @ISEKCongress The Carlo J De Luca Award 2022 Finalists. We encourage #ISEK2022 attendees to join us at room 202 today at 10am while @ManuelaBesomi, @MarcoGhislieri and @BryanSchlink present their work at the De Luca Symposium.
I am incredibly honored to be among the inaugural group selected for the Carlo J. DeLuca Award from @ISEKCongress for my work with dynamic high-density EMG. Special thanks to @Ferris_vball , the twitterless Andrew Nordin, and @UFBME for their support throughout this research!
The Carlo J. De Luca Award @ISEKCongress recognizes outstanding early-career researchers who have contributed to technological advances in #EMG

My fourth, and final, publication from my PhD research on high-density EMG during locomotion is now available and open-access doi.org/10.1152/jn.00602.202…. Localized muscle fatigue in the medial gastrocnemius induces altered spatial myoelectric patterns during walking and running.
I've been lucky enough to see this research in person the past couple of years and can't wait to see (and start using!) the final product. Awesome work @NeuroRyanDowney!!
Hey @AcademicEEG, I wanted to give you a sneak peek of my new cleaning algorithm, iCanClean (paper in prep). This highly artifacted mobile EEG data was simply HP filtered and then sent to my algorithm (no channel rejection, no re-ref). Oh yeah, and it's running here in real-time.

How many runners and how many steps are necessary to properly investigate running biomechanics?
We made some recommendations for traditional variables such as loading rate and peak forces (Summary below) disq.us/t/3unjmgl

We’re open for business! Check out our brand new facility below and keep an eye out for some amazing research from our SPARC team soon!
Today is my first official day as a Postdoctoral Fellow at @EmoryUniversity. That means, for the first time in 9+ years, I’m no longer a member of the @Ferris_vball lab. Please enjoy my earliest lab pic (left, 2011) and a recent recreation (right, 2020). 1/2

Our latest work using high-density EMG during locomotion is now published and open access. We found that lower limb spatial EMG patterns differ across muscles and speeds @Ferris_vball

A well-deserved honor for a wonderful researcher and mentor. Congrats Kharma!! @KharmaMDPhD
Congratulations!

This year, the ORS is pleased to honor Dr. Foucher for her exceptional contributions, sustained commitment to mentorship & activities that advance inclusive excellence. @KharmaMDPhD #ORSNation
Honored to have the opportunity to present my research at #vASB2020 this morning. Congrats @ASB2020_ATL for putting on an awesome virtual conference!
Really nice and simple breakdown of all the aspects one should consider for EMG recordings
Excellent tutorial on surface EMG detection in space and time.

More of what you want, less of what you don't. Our new paper shows CCA can effectively remove motion artifacts and retain biological components in dynamic high-density EMG recordings. @Ferris_vball #OJEMB ieeexplore.ieee.org/document…
