🚨Owen Hargreaves on Bruno Fernandes playing zero minutes in Manchester United’s 3-0 defeat to Bournemouth:
“This game shows us what Manchester United could have been all these years. There’s a reason why this team looks different when Bruno is in form and struggles when he isn’t.
Imagine United had won this game. Everyone would have been praising Carrick and talking about his decisions. But now, losing 3-0 at Old Trafford without Bruno playing a single minute raises serious questions.
Bruno has been here since 2020. Season after season, he has been one of our best players. He is the captain, the leader, and the man who has carried this team on his back when others failed.
And now you bench him because he spoke honestly after the Como game? That is not how a serious football club operates.
When your captain speaks out, you should ask yourself why he is frustrated. Instead of listening to him and examining the team’s problems, you punish him for saying what he believes.
Manchester United have bigger problems than one player making a statement. If Bruno is telling you something is wrong, maybe the club should investigate the tactics instead of turning against its own captain.
Losing 3-0 at Old Trafford is disgraceful. Carrick needs to take responsibility for his decisions, and if Bruno was benched because of what he said, then an apology is the least he deserves.
You cannot keep failing as a club and then punish the one player who has spent years trying to carry you.”

Leader of the Opposition Joel Ssenyonyi has urged NRM members and government officials not to label senior party members, including Older Persons MP for Eastern Uganda, Ofwono Opondo, as disloyal for speaking out on alleged abductions in the country.
Ssenyonyi called for open discussion of public concerns, saying leaders should be free to raise issues of national interest without their loyalty being questioned.
