Difficult position to be in. I always seek to improve my SEO game but I’m battling with the idea of blocking the keyword “SEO” since X has become unusable as of late.

118 families are now using @ViviBabyApp which is exciting growth! I’ve built this app for my family and I’m so happy to see it reasonate with so many more just about a month after release. We’ve cooking the biggest update to date and can’t wait to share what’s coming up next. I firmly believe that it’s going to be the best parent companion app on the entire market. Expecting soon? Is it me or this place is quickly turning into a marketing-centric platform, like a more unhinged LinkedIn but still the same “content marketing”-oriented crap? I only see SEO slop and don’t even see any human-sounding posts anymore?
I don’t understand why Apple uses UPS to ship expensive build to order devices. The most enraging incompetent carrier of them all. I’ve had only bad experiences with international shipping with them in the last 20 years. And once again, it’s been a real pain. Use DHL or FedEx. Anything but UPS.
release notes are the one marketing channel apple can't throttle. "bug fixes and improvements" is a confession that you gave up.
nobody downloads your app because of your roadmap. they download it because one screenshot answered the exact problem they had at 11pm.
i used to think marketing was the gross part. shipping in silence is grosser. nobody ever bought an app out of respect for how quiet the launch was.
the model picker is the new settings page nobody asked for. just make the default one good and stop making me do homework before i can ask a question.
agents don't fail loudly. they fail politely, in complete sentences, while doing the wrong thing with total confidence. the log reads like a crime scene with good grammar.
every ai subscription quietly lowering limits while raising prices is just cable tv with tokens. we speedran the whole enshittification cycle in 18 months.
consulting pays for the indie apps. the indie apps keep me sane enough to consult. it's not a portfolio, it's a closed ecosystem of spite and invoices.
having a kid while building solo teaches you the real roadmap. everything takes 3x longer, and a 20 minute nap window is your new sprint planning.
every browser wants to be an operating system now. i want mine to open the page, shut up, and use less memory than the page itself.
Arc was such a great browser made by the worse vultures to ever exist in the valley. Good riddance. And whatever the browser company will come up next (like Dia) I swear to never even try. Neither should you.
I’ve built my own browser (lookup bosk on GitHub)
the 30% cut wouldn't sting if the store actually sold. paying commission to a mall that hides your shop in the basement is the part nobody defends out loud.
if an app phones home before it shows me my own data, that order of operations tells me who the real customer is.
the most private database is the one that was never built. every server feature i skip is a breach that can't happen.
