Watching Shin for the first time was really cool because I'd only seen Minus One and Monsterverse so at first I assumed Shin's Godzilla was just the kaiju he'd beat up in the movie, and then I saw him evolve and I went wide eyed like "wait a minute that *is* Godzilla"
