I am absolutely beyond thrilled to have finally won a #Luca after being a serial finalist. Wish my parents could have seen this as they were the inspiration behind my career path and my practice. I will definitely be raising a glass to them both in celebration

Buzz Bee waiting for the train to London for Institute of Certified Bookkeepers #BookkeepingSummit2025

Super proud and pleased to have been shortlisted yet again for #smallpractice and #payrollpractitioner of the year for the ICB Luca Awards named after Luca Pacioli, an Italian mathematician and Franciscan friar widely seen as the "Father of Accounting" for his work on bookkeeping

Did you know bookkeepers have a patron saint? Today is the feast day of Matthew the Apostle. Collecting and accounting for money as a tax collector, makes him patron saint for those who keep records and manage resources, i.e. bookkeepers. en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Matt…

Thanks. There’s a bit of symbolism behind it… the bee represents my hubby and the poppy is for my parents. All have played a part in the inspiration, creation and success so as it’s been 10yrs, I thought it would be a nice way to reflect xx

A birthday gift to myself as Busby’s Bookkeeping Services celebrates 10 years in practice. Look out for the rebrand in the next few weeks when this will make much more sense. #Busbys #rebrand #crochet #inspiration

Today is going to be emotional as we say our final goodbye. To my original bookkeeping hero, who first taught me and then inspired me, who encouraged me to start my own practice. Love you always Mum 💔 #bemorebookkeeper #bookkeepinghero

It’s been a while since I posted a mindfulness photo from my hikes… we lost Mum last month so social media not a priority. Today was a good day though… 8 mile hike in the sunshine ☀️🥾 #bemorebookkeeper #mentalhealth #alzheimers #dartmoor #hiking #mum #bookkeepinghero

#TaxSeason is done for another year. New Year resolution… be done by Christmas… I want my January back… just in time for #MTDIncomeTax to take it away again 🤣 #bemorebookkeeper

Happy #ChristmasJumperDay everyone. Also tinselled my screens just to make me smile. Next stop #christmastunes 🎶🎅

Wowsers @QuickBooksUK Your customer relations skills have hit an all time low today! Shocking!

Super ecstatic to be shortlisted for two @ICBUK #Luca awards for 2024. Massive shout out to all my clients and my supportive family without whom Busby’s would not exist.

Interesting segment on BBC news this morning (5.52am if you’d like to find it) regarding lack of students wanting to go into #accounting according to #ICAS due to perception it’s just #bookkeeping #mundane @ICBUK is seeing more bookkeepers join #bemorebookkeeper #revolution

Again, @HMRCcustomers I sit through the automated phone system only to be sent a text and then hung up on 😳😡 Is it any wonder that when I finally get through, my tone may have a slight hint of annoyance?!?!

Happy 9th birthday Busby’s It’s been an amazing 9 years, meeting some wonderful people, amassing a fab selection of clients. Going out on my own was incredibly daunting but has been so rewarding. Thank you to my family for always being so supportive. #bemorebookkeeper

And just like that, #taxseason 2023/24 is underway… Aiming to be all green by Christmas #bemorebookkeeper

Trying to pretend it’s summer even though it’s persisting it down outside and I’m contemplating another fleece ☔️🥶 #creamfirst #fuel #bookkeeper

What better way to chill out after several hours of bank feed processing #dartmoor #mentalhealth #hiking #notjustabookkeeper
