He has the following to say about the EMPSA program: "At 42, I thought the door to higher education had closed; instead, I discovered that more than 20 years in public service had given me a reason to open it again. I chose to pursue my EMPSA at the Bush School because I wanted to build upon my experience, strengthen my ability to lead, and better understand the policies, resources, and decisions that shape the communities we are entrusted to serve. What once seemed like an impossible dream is now within reach, and as I work toward becoming a Texas A&M Bush School graduate, I hope my journey reminds others that it is never too late to grow, to serve with greater purpose, and to pursue what you once thought was beyond your reach. Gig 'em!"

Pursuing this degree was an opportunity to further develop my skills so that I can better contribute to effective, responsible government and be part of the solution to the challenges facing my community.”
