One of the most fascinating things about Kamen Rider Super-1 is the lead actor. He's literally been missing for almost a decade after stealing money from fans and evading legal action. Even the wiki classifies him as a fugitive. Wild stuff.

I guess it shouldn't surprise me that this show, which is in America for the first episode but is obviously filmed in Japan, has questionable geography.

About 5 years ago, I considered all the Showa-era Kamen Rider shows to be sort of unattainable shows that I desperately wanted to see. It's incredible to see I now finally own them all on disc. (Except for the original series, but I've watched that show a lot anyways.)

Oh right, Omega is just a few weeks away. I definitely have that one preordered as well.

The Lupin the 3rd Part 2 entire collection is more of a treasure than I think I realized at first. That's 155 episodes, 3720 hours. If I left it on nonstop it would take a whole 2.5 days to get through it all. That is a heck of a lot of Lupin.

Oh it's another toku Tuesday plus bonus Lupin! Discotek always catering to several of my interests these days. 💪

And it was also a surreal and awesome experience for the Godzilla exhibit to come alive and do its performance right as we left the theater. xitter.cf/Busiris/status/1728054…

I've brought it up too many times because it's like one of my favorite experiences I've had in recent years, but Minus One holds a special place in my heart just because I got to see it in Japan, about a week or two before it came out in the US. xitter.cf/Busiris/status/1727959…

I was bummed at first that my local IMAX was not playing Godzilla Minus Zero so I booked tickets for next Thursday elsewhere. But then I learned they *are* playing it in IMAX on Godzilla Day, two days earlier. So yeah, I'm definitely taking time off for that. 🎉💪

I realized we're nearly 100 days away from the Japan trip and that really is starting to put a fire under my butt to get the itinerary ironed out ASAP. I put too much focus on the first few days and need to wrap it up!!

Up early to see the Wicker (2026) man.

Anyone that decides to honestly do that with something like *wicker* probably is either way too horny or way too stupid. Or both, I suppose.

Journalists are out there asking the *really* important questions, finally!!

Oh hey it's that movie about that clay guy. A ClayFighter movie adaptation??

I remember seeing that Takeshi Kitano's movie Kubi was in theaters when I was in Tokyo back in 2023 and sadly didn't see it. It took far too long for this to be available but I'm glad it *finally* became available to watch now on Netflix.

Another devilish #ThrowBuThursday! This is a 2018 sketch from the always wonderful @Sprech4 of Bu transforming into a Devilman-esque creature! 👿 It's a favorite of my convention sketchbook.

Soon people could actually see this scene on the big screen. 😍 xitter.cf/DeclouxJ/status/146986…

Literally the greatest news I've heard in a while. It's going to be an awesome toku holiday season. 🎄
