If you love sports nostalgia -- and really, who doesn't -- you'll love @ByJasonFoster's retrospective essay on the 1991 Braves, 35 years later. It features: 🙏 Praying to God 📺 Christian Slater on SNL 😢 Jack Morris making a teenager cry sportandstate.com/2026/10/27…

The greatest World Series ever ended 35 years ago today. So it's time for me to get nostalgic and personal about the 1991 Braves, a unique team that'll never be matched. If you're a Braves fan of a certain age, you'll like it. Shares appreciated. sportandstate.com/2026/10/27…

Thirty-five years ago, the Braves united the masses over a baseball miracle. It was an amazing social phenomenon and something that couldn't happen today. In an essay @SportNState, I argue that there will never be another team like the 1991 Braves. sportandstate.com/2026/10/27…

The Brewers have dominated the postseason like few teams in history. Now with a 3-0 lead in the World Series after a 10-1 victory Monday, they're one win away from the franchise's first championship. @ByJasonFoster on Milwaukee's inevitability: sportandstate.com/2026/10/26…

But they might wanna be careful. This game is starting to give off "Game 3 of the 2004 ALCS" vibes.
The Brewers are freakin' inevitable.

Warm take: That should count as a stolen base for Simpson. He had it stolen, but overslid the bag. It should be treated the same as when a guy gets thrown out trying to turn a single into a double. He still gets credit for the single.

Game 2 of the World Series was an entertaining mix of clutch hitting, bad defense and heroics from unexpected sources as the Brewers engineered a 5-4 comeback win over the Rays to take a 2-0 lead in the series. ✍️: @ByJasonFoster sportandstate.com/2026/10/24…

Networks should go back to hiring active players as postseason sideline/clubhouse reporters and color men like they did in the '70s and '80s. Reggie Jackson, Tom Seaver, Don Sutton and others were regulars. It was always a fun wrinkle in the broadcast. Bring it back!
Payton Tolle had the chance to interview Junior Caminero at World Series Media Day His most-pressing question: How did Caminero hit a home run against him? 🤣

I’m a native Charlottean, born five months before this happened, and I had never heard of it until now. Good story.
